Trump, Clinton Win Big in New York Primary

Both Donald J. Trump and Hillary Rodham Clinton beat expectations with their victories yesterday in the New York primary. The Real Clear Politics average had Trump ahead of Ted Cruz and John Kasich by some 34 points. Donald Trump wound up winning the Empire State by 36 points! Most polls had Hillary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders by 12 points at most. She finished 16 points ahead of him! As I write this, only 94% of the ballots have been counted in both party primaries. The New York primary results as of now have Trump at nearly 61%, Kasich at just below 25% and Cruz at 14.5%. Hillary is standing at nearly 58% with Sanders at about 42%. Clinton will earn most of the 247 delegates, along with most of the 54 super-delegates from NY. So far, Trump is calculated to have won 88 of the 95 delegates with Kasich getting just 3. Cruz failed to meet the 20% minimum and got completely skunked, as well he should!

New York State Primary Today

Start spreading the news…, they′re voting today. The New York State primary is today with 95 delegates up for grabs for the Republican Party and 247 delegates for the Democratic Party. The latest New York primary polls show both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Donald J. Trump leading their contests by more than 50%. Hillary is ahead of Bernie Sanders by as much as 12 points in some polls and as few as 2 points in others. Trump is well ahead of John Kasich and Lyin′ Ted Cruz by 20-30 percentage points. Cruz was literally run out of New York four days ago failing to generate any excitement. Donald Trump held a big rally last night in Buffalo, NY, packing between 7,000 to 8,000 fans. While Hillary has a lead over Sanders, don′t count out ′The Bern′ just yet.

RightPundits Interview with Debbie Dooley, Delegate Candidate in Georgia for Donald Trump

Time to break out some Charlie Daniels because the Devil went down to Georgia on Saturday and the name of that Devil is Lyin′ Ted Cruz! The Republican Party of Georgia held its delegate convention on Saturday to select delegates to attend the RNC convention in Cleveland this coming July. Debbie Dooley, an activist and member of the Tea Party, the GOP, and involved in many Conservative causes, earned a spot as a potential delegate to represent the Georgia 7th Congressional District. Based on the outcome of the primary vote held back on March 1, 2 of the district′s 3 delegates should have been for Donald with the third for Marco Rubio. But, as we have seen before in other states, and across the State of Georgia, the Ted Cruz campaign managed to keep many Trump delegates from being selected.

Ted Cruz Steals More Delegates in Wyoming, Georgia

There may not have been as many Republican voters disenfranchised in Wyoming as in Colorado yesterday, the results were the same. Lyin′ Ted Cruz once again played fast and loose with the rules of the Republican Party of Wyoming and snatched all 14 delegates for the national convention this summer. In Georgia, the Cruz campaign stole more delegates despite the fact that there actually was a vote during which Donald Trump won the state! Trump had written an op-ed piece published in the Wall Street Journal, which often opposes him, asking the American people how well ′The System′ is treating them? Since the Colorado non-vote delegate convention, Donald Trump has turned the corruption in our political, banking and economic systems into an effective campaign message. Nearly all of the latest polls show Trump gaining ground while Ted Cruz is sliding rapidly into third place behind John Kasich!

Donald Trump Campaign Manager Won’t Be Prosecuted

Chalk up another victory for Donald J. Trump! This time, the success was in the State of Florida where the prosecutor responsible for the area around Jupiter, Florida decided against prosecuting Trump campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. Lewandowski had been charged with simple assault by the police in Jupiter due to a complaint filed by former Breitbart News reporter, Michelle Fields. Fields had accused Lewandowski of inappropriate contact made after a campaign event. She had left the area designated for members of The Media by the Secret Service, and made physical contact on her own of Donald Trump.

Rush Limbaugh Admits Being Wrong on GOP Colorado Non-Vote

Sorry, Ditto-heads! You cannot go around singing, ″Rush was right and you were wrong″, this time! Nope, Rush Limbaugh admitted on his radio show that he was mistaken concerning the impact of not having a straw or ′presidential preference′ poll during last weekend′s delegate convention in Colorado. As it turns out, the Republican Party of Colorado did in fact deliberately ditch such a straw poll because, under the RNC rules, it would have required some of the delegates to be bond to the results of such a vote. Several other items have surfaced in this fracas, furthering support in the objections made by the Donald Trump campaign that the process in Colorado was indeed rigged in favor of Ted Cruz.

Hillary Clinton vs Bernie Sanders in Brooklyn Democratic Debate Brawl

The gloves almost came fully off last night when CNN aired the Brooklyn Democratic Debate. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Bernie Sanders brawled in a shouting match as each tried to out do each other in giving away the nation. The debate precedes next Tuesday ′all important′ New York State primary. Part of the reason things got testy was due to remarks made by a Sanders supporter Wednesday night at a campaign rally, referring to ″corporate Democratic whores″. The Sanders campaign spent much of Thursday trying to walk that one back as not being a direct attack against Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, across the river on Manhattan, a GOP governor′s dinner featured the three remaining active, presidential candidates for the Republican Party. The audience was pro-Trump and gave Lyin′ Ted Cruz the cold shoulder.

‘From Caligari to Hitler’, Weimar Film Documentary Aired on TCM

If you are a movie history fan, then you may have been in heaven last night. The Turner Classic Movie Channel, TCM, aired the 2014 documentary film based on the 1947 book by Siegfried Kracauer, ″From Caligari to Hitler″. The book delves into the history, nature and impact of the Germany film industry during the years between World War 1 and 2. The documentary film follows the book well, and includes many interviews with scholars and critics, as well as a healthy collection of clips from movies produced during that era. Kracauer, a well-known sociologist, newspaper columnist and advocate for Marxism, details his opinion on how the German film industry set the stage during the Weimar Republic for the eventual rise of Adolph Hitler and Nazism.
