Iran Threatening A ‘Punch’ on Feb. 11

If a known violent or caustic individual gives me a forewarning to expect a punch on a certain day, I either a) avoid them the entire day, b) tell my Mommy or c) punch first.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme leader not known for his warm nature, addressed their military today with a thrill up his leg about an approaching attack on the West.

“The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned,” Khamenei, who is also Iran’s commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel.

One thing we can be sure of - they don’t have God’s grace. They also don’t have unity, with the anti-government opposition against the June re-election of Ahmadinejad still planning protests and demonstrations. It continues despite several thousand protesters arrested, some given hard prison sentences, and two hung.

Public opinion and sanity will not sway this government. They’re on a mission from God, you forget, to develop enriched uranium and bring about the Apocalypse.

Watchdog: Iran ‘Human Rights Crisis’ Exists

Human Rights Watch has released its 2010 world report on human rights abuses. According to the group, there is a human rights crisis in Iran. Most of the abuses stem from the political demonstrations from the elections held back in June of last year. Most of us with common sense realized that an Iranian human rights crisis existed long before HRW decided to publish its report; however it is important that all groups from all political stripes recognize the abuses taking place there.

Following the elections which took place in June, very brave Iranians took to the streets to protest what they deemed unfair and rigged elections. The Islamic Republic immediately cracked down on protesters in a major and violent way. According to HRW at least 30 were killed in the protests. In their report, Human Rights Watch outlines several infractions in Iran’s human rights crisis.

Vladimir Putin, No Sanctions on Iran: Obama Sold Out Poland for Nothing

It appears that Barack Obama sold out Poland for nothing. In spite of his preemptively giving in to Russia and promising to not use a missile shield to protect Poland and the Czech Republic, Vladimir Putin is saying no to sanctions on Iran. After all, how can we be absolutely 100% certain they are going to nuke us! Let’s just wait and see before we do anything.

vladimir putin 351

It seems the only preventative measures the United States can take against our enemies anymore is to give Russia whatever they want, whenever they want it. Then, when the Obama Administration gives them what they want, the Russians ask for more. That would have been perfectly predictable for those of us who pay attention to foreign affairs and aren’t immersed in the naivete of Marxism and the delusions of narcissism.

Obama and Iran Nuclear Talks - Live Video

Today Obama is expected to make remarks regarding today’s Iran nuclear discussion in which the United States personally took place in for the first time since the Islamic Revolution. So, what was accomplished in today’s important discussions? As Michelle Malkin states, Iran got taken to the Woodshed and agrees to . . . more talks! So, finally we see the vaunted “smart diplomacy” at work, talk talk talk.

Iranian state television later reported that the negotiators for the seven nations agreed to hold further talks before the end of October.
Western diplomat sources confirmed such an announcement was planned and said preparations were also underway for the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit Iran’s new enrichment facility near Qom before the next meeting takes place.

In the first such high-level talks between Washington and Tehran in years, the chief U.S. negotiator, Undersecretary of State William J. Burns, had a private discussion with his Iranian counterpart, Saeed Jalili, during the morning session of the conference, State Department spokesman Robert Wood said. He said he could not immediately offer any additional details. The meeting, which took place as the other delegations were getting ready for lunch, lasted 30 minutes, a Western diplomat said.

Iran Test Fires Missiles: Israel Within Range

More saber rattling from the Islamic Republic of Iran as they test fired short range missiles that could conceivably hit Israel as well as U.S. interests in the Gulf region. Iran test fired the Shahab 3 missile which has a reported range of 2,000 km.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Iran seemingly loves the media spotlight; one day after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave his speech to the U.N. General Assembly, it was determined that Iran had a second nuclear facility in operation that had not been approved by the IAEA. Of course Iran says the facility and their nuclear ambitions are for electricity.

Obama’s Peace Through Disarmament Plan Isn’t Working: Nuclear Proliferation is Rampant

It is just so inspiring that the President of the United States let the world know that he plans on slashing America’s nuclear arsenal. I know we all have to be inspired by that. Right? Well, certainly Iran, Venezuela, Russia, North Korea and any and everyone else that wishes the United States to disappear in an atomic mist is inspired. So inspired, they are emboldened in a way that they are practically bragging to the world about the weapons they’ve been developing in secret all these years.

Nuclear Peace Love

It looks like we might be in for a bumpy ride in the fairly near future. That is unless, of course, you actually believe that Obama is a strong world leader and strikes fear in the hearts and minds of our enemies. If you don’t think that - I don’t mean as you parrot your talking points of the day, but deep down in your gut where your know the truth in your heart of hearts - then you might be just a little shaken while we all watch as the conflicts in the world are escalating at an alarming rate. The escalations in conflicts throughout the world have taken on dire dimensions and are marching steadily to the very brink of nuclear holocaust.

Am I over-stating the danger? I don’t think so, but you be the judge.

Hillary: No Nukes in Iran Ever!

No nukes for you, 1 year!

No nukes for you, 1 year!

Hillary Clinton came out swinging today on Meet the Press, claiming that the US will never allow Iran to have Nukes. Clinton boldly told Iran:

“What we want to do is to send a message to whoever is making these decisions, that if you’re pursuing nuclear weapons for the purpose of intimidating, of projecting your power, we’re not going to let that happen,” Clinton said.

“First, we’re going to do everything we can to prevent you from ever getting a nuclear weapon. But your pursuit is futile, because we will never let Iran — nuclear-armed, not nuclear-armed — it is something that we view with great concern, and that’s why we’re doing everything we can to prevent that from ever happening. … We believe, as a matter of policy, it is unacceptable for Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

Those are pretty strong words from someone who has been pretty muzzled by Obama. I have to wonder if Obama is on board with this sentiment. Obama has hedged around this topic for months now, for Hillary to come out and basically say it ain’t gonna happen has to have the the Dear Leader upset. The key question here is, what, if anything, will the administration do to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons? We’ve seen intelligence reports just this week suggesting that Iran is about 6 months away from having their first nuke. So, will the Obama administration put it’s money where it’s mouth is? Will we allow the Israelis to take military action against Iran to take out their nuclear production centers? Will we engage in military action ourselves to prevent this from happening?
