Donald Trump to America – ′I Am Your Voice!′

On the final night of the 2016 Republican National Convention, Donald J. Trump accepted the nomination as the GOP presidential candidate. During his 76-minute speech, Trump shared his views on the current state of our nation, and of its leaders. It was a dismal view. Some pundits say a ′dark′ view. But they are not the ordinary citizens who feel trapped, living paycheck to paycheck. Those pundits are not the ordinary Americans who live in our inner cities and are afraid to let their children play outside. The eggheads of The Media are not among the tens of millions who feel left behind, ignored, and forgotten. Donald Trump spoke to them and assured them that ″I am your voice!″ That he will work everyday to make their lives better. Unlike Crooked Hillary Rodham Clinton, Donald Trump is not a puppet, bought and paid for by the special interests. Donald J. Trump has only one interest, to ′Make America Great Again!′

Day 3 of GOP Convention – Pence, Newt, Eric Trump Hit Home Runs, Ted Cruz Gets Boos

Day 3 of the 2016 Republican Convention had plenty of action. The theme last night at the Quicken Loan Arena in Cleveland, Ohio was ′Make America First Again′. Somebody apparently forgot to tell Lyin′ Ted Cruz that, whose speech was all about making Lyin′ Ted Cruz first in 2020. But everybody else was on target, from Florida Governor Rick Scott and radio talk host Laura Ingraham, to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Florida Senator Marco Rubio. But the best speeches of the night came from Eric Trump, Newt Gingrich and Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Pence wrapped up the night with his acceptance speech as being Donald Trump′s vice presidential running mate. So let us take a closer look at some of the highlights and occasional chaos.

Milo Yiannopoulos Permanently Banned by Twitter

Free speech took another step backwards on the Internet yesterday. Twitter has permanently banned Breitbart News writer and editor, Milo Yiannopoulos. Milo, known on Twitter as @Nero, is a political activist who champions the ′Alt Right′, a blending of Conservative, Libertarian and Nationalistic views, and a leader for the Gays For Trump group. Twitter cited ′abusive comments′ as their reasoning for banning him. This comes after a ′Twitter War′ between Milo and actress Leslie Jones, one of the stars of the new ″Ghostbusters″ movie. Milo panned the remake and described Jones as being ″barely literate″. During her fight with Milo, Jones received thousands of other ′tweets′, many with racial insults, from other users. She decided to suspend her account because of the hateful tweets. Shortly after that, Twitter pulled the plugged on Milo.

Day 2 of Republican Convention – Trump Officially Nominated, Don Jr Wows Crowd

Day 2 of the 2016 Republican national convention in Cleveland, Ohio went much smoother than Day 1. The roll call vote succeeded in officially making Donald J. Trump the 2016 GOP presidential nominee. His eldest son, Don Jr., spoke for the New York delegation which put him over the top after Pennsylvania gave them the honor. Later in the evening, Don Jr. wowed the crowd with an excellent speech which followed one by Trump′s younger daughter, Tiffany. Both described their father as one who encourages ambition and hard work. Don Jr. summed it up best saying that his father is a ″blue collar billionaire″. Among other notable speakers, we had Paul Ryan made an appeal for party unity, Chris Christie prosecuting Lying-Crooked Hillary Rodham Clinton and Dr. Ben Carson connecting her with Lucifer. All in all, a normal night of Republican ideals.

Opening of 2016 RNC Convention – Melania Trump Speech vs Last Stand of Never-Trump

On Monday, the 2016 Republican National Convention opened at the Quicken Loan Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. There was plenty of controversy throughout the day and long into the evening. Not the least of which are allegations that two passages from the Melania Trump speech were plagiarized from the 2008 Michelle Obama convention speech. My only response to this is simply that when Michelle Obama spoke about the values of hard work and passing them on to future generations, she was lying and Melania was being honest. Barack and Michelle Obama have never worked a hard day in their combined lives. Everything they have, including their college degrees, were handed to them. On the charge of plagiarism, I have two points. As FBI Director James Comey would say, no reasonable prosecutor would take the case unless you could prove malicious intent. As Mick Jagger would, there is nothing new under the Sun.

Baton Rouge Shootings, Another 6 Police Officers Ambushed

In the wake of the Dallas shootings, the scene shifts to Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday. Three police officers were killed and three others wounded in the Baton Rouge shootings. The gunman, Gavin Long from Kansas City, Missouri, decided to celebrate his 29th birthday by ambushing police. Long, a Black supremacist/separatist with racist-hate sites on the Internet, arrived in Baton Rouge some 6 days earlier, scouting things out. He targeted a convenience store about 1 mile from police headquarters as it was frequented by cops. Long then baited the ambush, making a 9-1-1 call himself. After a furious gun battle, six officers were down, three killed and the others wounded. Long was also killed, despite wearing a bulletproof vest.

Attempted Military Coup in Turkey, What Next?

What a week! After the attack in Nice, France, is was hard to imagine any other news item topping that. Even Donald Trump wisely postponed his press conference to introduce Mike Pence as his running mate. But, in Turkey, a group of generals and other officials decided that it was now or never and attempted a coup against President Erdagon. He was vacationing at a coastal resort when the tanks began rolling in Istanbul and the capitol in Ankara. Several government buildings were bombed by aircraft, including the Turkish Parliament and Intelligence headquarters. However, the coup plotters failed and all indicators are that Erdagon is back in full control after a bloody night. So what was it all about?
