Representative Allen West was appearing before a townhall audience in Jensen Beach, Florida when he was asked about how many Socialists and Communists were in the US House of Representatives. Congressman West answered ″I believe there′s about 78 to 81 members of the Democrat Party that are members of the Communist Party.″ West explains that they are the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Naturally, the Far-Left Media went ballistic, calling West another Joe McCarthy. Of course, the Liberals like to forget that McCarthy was proven to be correct after the fall of the Soviet Union led to the release of many KGB files, chronicling the extent of Communist infiltration inside the U.S. government.
So are Democrats the new Communists? You betcha! Particularly those, as Rep. West described, as members of the Progressive Caucus. It may surprise dimwits like Joe Scarborough, but the Progressive movement preceded the rise of Communism in history. The philosophical core of Progressives is identical to that of any Socialist.
As chronicled here by myself two years ago, the Progressive movement has its origins in the Temperance movement. The first attempt in our young republic for a special interest group to sway public opinion and control behavior. Throw in Darwin and the Temperance leaders now could point to scientific evidence that some people are better, more evolved than others. Therefore those of lesser breeding need to be controlled, if not eradicated. Margaret Sanger, who started Planned Parenthood, was a leader in the early days of the Progressivism for her thoughts on ridding society of the undesirable elements.
Call them Progressives Socialists, Communists, Fascists, it all boils down to the very same concept. The State, or a group of Elite, knows what is best for the rest of society. Individual freedom and liberty must be sacrificed for the good of all. That is their intellectual foundation. Controlling individuals, groups, industries, etc,. All for the good of The State, The People, The Race, The Party, it goes on and on.
So Representative Allen West is quite correct in his assessment that at least 78-81 Democrats are Communists. The members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus all subscribe to the very same ideology of Marx, Hegel and Kant. There is very little distinction from the Progressive Democrats who want to use the force of The State to implement their agenda from those of the Communist Party. The Liberal Media thinks Allen West is another Joe McCarthy. He certainly is, but that is not an insult, it is a compliment. McCarthy had the insight to see what was happening and history has proven him to be correct.

The basic problem in America with the whole same-sex-marriage thing is that Liberals do not understand that marriage is itself a religious sacrament. On the other hand, ‘Conservatives’ seem to think that Churches may carry out the functions of The State.
In France, you have two ceremonies. You have a ‘civil union’, which is performed by and recognized by The State and then if you desire to have a church service to meet your faith’s requirements pertaining to the religious sacrament, then you do both.
Frankly, I do not see why a priest performing a marriage service should be sanctioned or have any legal standing with The State. As an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church for about 20 years, I technically have the legal authority to marry people. If that is not a joke, then I don’t know what a joke is!

The main problem is they have never found an “in between” species where you can actually measure evolution. In Darwin’s theory you should easily see species in transition all around you, for example, something between chimps and man (liberals don’t count). But instead we have hard breaks between species.

Patrick, those who understand the theory of evolution know that man does not derive from chimps, that is an old argument that anti-evolutionists still bring up. Both chimps and us come from a common ancestor, we don’t come from chimps.
To address your in between species, we have seen many in between species among many organisms and even a complete evolutionary shift, such as seen in Diatoms. Even if we didn’t find an in-between species for man, that’s still not proof. Finding well preserved fossils is quite rare, and finding one of a specific species is rarer still. That being said, we have found links for man, such as Homo Habilis.

I always find it interesting that when you debate evolution with creationists, you have to come up with tomes of proof showing that evolution is true (which is possible, as tomes of proof exist), however when you reverse the situation and ask them to prove God exists it becomes “Well, God works in mysterious ways!”.
Rationalists are burdened with providing scads of proof, irrationalists (creationists) just fall back on some book that was created thousands of years ago by superstitious desert nomads who thought volcanoes were God, as their proof. It’s science vs fantasy and really the two shouldn’t even be debated. That’s like debating math vs astrology.

Furthermore, there are teams of scientists studying the effects of global warming, it’s not a one-man show. That’s the difference between science and religion. Science is always evolving and is up for debate and peer review. If something is proven wrong, it is accepted as wrong and the search for the truth continues. With religion you are relying on some book written by superstitious middle eastern desert nomads as the ultimate truth. When something contradicts it, you just plug your ears.

It is now widely known through the emails that were hacked from East Anglia that debate and peer review were not allowed unless it agreed that global warming existed. It is also well known that a lot of data was manipulated or hidden to produce a certain outcome. Mann’s hockey stick graph was one. Yet with no scientific proof that global warming is manmade, they soldier on, though they did change it to Climate Change instead of Global Warming.
George Zimmerman is another example. As the story evolved that George was not white, was not the same guy pictured in the five year old mugshot in prison orange, Trayvon was not a twelve year old cheesin’ for the camera, George did not pursue him, Trayvon did attack George, George had a laceration on his head, grass stains on his back, and a bloody nose… none of this matters to you on the left. Get it, facts don’t matter to you people.
What you people have Snow, is a religious belief of your own where certain things are bad and you’ll plug your ears though you haven’t one iota of proof.
If you won’t believe the tangible facts in the East Anglia emails or the Trayvon Martin shooting, how the hell can you even begin to believe in the intangible facts of religion.

How about we teach them all? Would you object to it being an elective? I don’t know how they do it now but when I was in high school we had required courses and electives. The required courses were electives in themselves as you could choose which type of social studies you wanted to take. I’m all for making Religions Around the World an elective social studies course.
Or would the idea of high schoolers having access to even that much knowledge about religion drive you into another tizzy?

I can agree that a lot of liberals don’t grow up, but I can say the same thing about conservatives.
Believe it or not, there are a lot of hard working liberals, too. We aren’t all looking for government handouts, and TBH (and I’ve said this before), I think limiting government handouts would be a good thing. There is no doubt that many people abuse these handouts, and also it’s not only liberals who do abuse them. My sister is one of the most staunch Republicans I know, but she is going through hard times and she is currently enjoying her handouts, despite being so vehemently against them prior to her hardship.
The problem is that people seem to identify both Democrats and Republicans as their extreme versions (I’m not pleading innocent here, as I come to RP all the time painting with broad brushes like you all do, but deep down I know there are great people on both sides). It seems like everyone is either a wingnut, or a moonbat and there is no middle ground. I’m probably pictured by you as some tree hugging commie, or some caricature of liberal extremism, however that simply isn’t true. I actually sit towards the middle, but still to the left. I find it annoying when people abuse handouts, I think our government is grossly inefficient, lazy-ass people annoy me whether they are Democrat or Republican, I believe in gun rights. I do agree that Democrats trend more towards grabbing for handouts, and that sh*t is annoying, but they are certainly the minority.
Anyways, it’s been fun, but it’s time to go enjoy some single malt Scotches with some close (and believe it or not, Republican) friends.

I took foodstamps for about 3 months a few years back. I’ve been paying income tax since I was 12. I was drawing a paycheck the government could draw from, I had no remorse or guilt..
At a certain point these leechs dont have the right to say “its their money”, and they’re entitle to it for whatever politically correct bullsht they can come of with which usually is supported by being being a victim of those not receiving benefits.

I went to the Democratic Underground site once out of curiosity and their “Terms of Use” are pretty clear. If they don’t agree with what you say, they ban you from the site.
I think even buzz would last longer here than he would there!!
