We all know how much Barack Obama likes calling people up to apologize or feign empathy with them after some tragedy. He called Sandra Fluke after the big, bad Rush Limbaugh called her mean names on his nationally syndicated radio show. Obama then called the family of Trayvon Martin this past week, several weeks after the young 17-year old African-American youth was shot and killed by a Hispanic man, George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. Of course, Zimmerman claims he was being attacked and an eyewitness apparently is verifying that story. Oddly enough, about the same time of the Trayvon Martin case, there was a genuine, racially motivated attack taking place in Kansas City Missouri. The 13-year old son of Melissa Coon was attacked by two teenagers who poured gasoline on Coon′s son and set him on fire. Coon′s son was white and the two attackers were black.
So where is the outrage over this incident? Perhaps it does not reach the level of a national outcry since Coon′s son did not die? While badly burned, he managed to survive by stripping off his clothing and extinguishing the flames. He is expected to recover though he may have permanent damage to his eyes and lungs. Still, a very brave lad for a 13-year old, who not only dealt with the fire himself, but even called 9-1-1 himself, too.
Attacked while returning home from the high school he attended, two African-American teenage boys, both 16, assaulted young Coon. He managed to get to his front porch when the two attackers poured gasoline on him, then set in ablaze with a Bic lighter. ″This is what you deserve.″, said they. ″You get what you deserve white boy.″ Police are still looking for the assailants and have yet to determine whether or not this case qualifies as a ′hate crime?′ Umm, Hellooo? If this is not a hate crime, then what is?
Of course, in the Coon case, there is almost no media interest. There are barely 20 stories on the subject if you Google it. No Facebook pages dedicated to seeking justice. No entire cable network like MSNBC covering the story. No Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson calling for marches, protests and petitions. No FBI or Justice Department investigations. And, no Barack Obama making phone calls, or speaking out publicly on the matter. Melissa Coon said that she intends to move away from the neighborhood that almost cost her her 13-year old son to a fiery death. She said that her 5-year old child asked her after wards if he would also be set on fire, too? The New Black Panther Party has inserted itself into the Trayvon Martin case, offering a $10,000 bounty for George Zimmerman. Will they offer anything to help find the attackers of young Coon?

That is how its shaping up. He was most recently suspended from school when he was found to have a bag with marijuana residue on it and one of those small marijuana pipes.

Amazing Andy. How did you find this story? I live about 30 miles northwest of Kansas City and work in the city. Didn’t hear a thing about it.
I also checked the Yahoo search engine and couldn’t find an article from the Kansas City Star or on Yahoo. I wouldn’t waste my money purchasing the Star but I check the local news articles at Yahoo every day. Nothing!!!

Once again, you forget history. There’s a history of victimization of black people, esp. in the South. Yes, you can find examples of black on white crime, plenty of examples. But the white race has not had to campaign, to suffer, for decades, to free itself from discrimination and hatred, and the inhuman actions that it breeds. A crime is a crime, and this crime sounds like a pretty vicious crime, but when something like what happened to Treyvon Martin happens, it stirs up the past. This is why everyone is so upset about it, why it has captured the attention of the media so much. There was a day in this country when if a black person got shot, it was just ho hum. There was no justice for black people, on any level. A lot of people have had to suffer and even die to get us past this, and we’re not 100% past it yet, and this is why the Treyvon Martin case is such a red flag.

There is a very simple difference that explains why only one of these events has attracted attention and protests.
The difference is that the perpetrators in Kansas City have been arrested, whereas the perpetrator in Florida has not.

What about justice for Hispanic people, Klo? George Zimmerman is Hispanic and is being accused of murder by the Liberal Media Mob. One of his best friends, who happens to be African-American, was on TV yesterday saying that in the 6 years he has known Zimmerman, he’s never seen any sign of racism. Quite the opposite, in fact, as George and his wife would tutor children of any race in the neighborhood for free.
There is a great deal we do not know but as more info is leaked out, it is beginning to look like that Zimmerman may indeed be innocent. This nonsense of the Media, especially MSNBC, constantly showing pictures of Trayvon from when he was 12 years old is a tactic I’ve seen before here in Duh-troit back during the Malice Green death. Trayvon was 17, and 6-foot, 2-inches tall. He was actually larger than Zimmerman.

In the Coon case in Kansas City, the assailants were not arrested immediately, either. In fact, I have yet to see any story confirming that police have made an arrest in that case.
@ FM, this was one of two stories my secret source inside the Beltway clued me on to this past Saturday. The other story I may write about later this week. Its a real knee-slapper about how the Feds are going after a major corporation for assisting in an international crime network. The ‘catch’ however is that this major corporation’s only ‘crime’ is obeying Federal laws which aided the criminal network.

I am a young black woman and this just makes me so angry. History is just that History, it is to learn from – to not make the same mistakes, it is simply the past. It doesn’t give anyone any right to lay claim to suffering in today’s society. I was not a slave, Ghost of Klo you were not a slave, and probably not your parents or grandparents, get over it already!!!! Black people use this to try to empower themselves when someone of another color is involved – oh, let’s pull the race card. But it is perfectly fine to go around killing each other, if a black man had shot Trayvon this wouldn’t even have made news outside of Sandford. A 6′2 17 year old, with priors is alot different than an innocent 12 year old. I think his family and the media have bitten off more than they can chew. Zimmerman hasn’t been arrested because he was defending himself, plain and simple. And believe me “Ghost of Klo” white people have had to pay plenty and suffer too for what their ancestors did in the past. God knows they have to hear the rants about it every time someone white commits any kind of crime on a black person. Get over yourselves and stop hiding because of the past. I also find it pretty pathetic and a shame that this kids parents are trying to profit from his death poor little Trayvon, of course when the true story starts to come about their kid they shout “defamation of character” – what a joke, he was who he was and you should just mourn him, it is unfortunate that this happened, but making him out to be someone he wasn’t is wrong too. It is a crime, but RACE shouldn’t come into play at all!!!!

Klo, like most Liberal dummies who only learn what ‘facts’ their Liberal school teachers cram into their skulls, apparently has no clue that pretty much every single society in human history has had slavery in one form or another. Slavery is one of the great evils of humanity, and everyone’s hands are stained from it.
But at some point in time, you have to move past events from a century ago, or even a decade ago. This sort of reminds me of how my dearly departed mother was upset with one of her cousins when she stole her boyfriend when both were 16 years old. So they wind up not talking to each other for the next 70 years!

Their is another story coming out here in Washington STate, that a white boy was beaten up by two men (one Black, one frm Pacific area) for being white. they beat him for hours and burnt him with cigarettes. Where are the Jesse Jackson people now? Nowhere!!!

Steve the child is fine and you cant even tell he has been burnt at all. I hate to say it but from the looks of things the media or parents over talked the outcome of this bad situation. not saying that what happened is ok or that I am not for justice for this child but I dont believe he is suffering or have life long scars from this (on the outside anyway)look to be living a normal life. at least from the outside looking in on the internet.
