U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales is currently being held at the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is expected to be formally charged this week in connection to a shooting spree in Afghanistan where he allegedly shot and killed 16 Afghan civilians, including nine children. Those who knew Sgt. Bales are shocked by the allegations and appear to be sympathetic to his plight. He joined the Army shortly after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 and has served three tours of duty in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan. Highly decorated for bravery and having suffered a head wound in combat, Bales was slated to not be shipped out again. But he was, at a time when Bales also faced family problems at home.
So what drove Bales to allegedly commit mass murder? Was it his domestic problems? Latent or misdiagnosed medical conditions stemming from his head wound? Was it alcohol that drove him over the edge? Or was it seeing a fellow soldier and comrade get his leg blown off a few days before? Could it be that Bales is just the latest victim of the failed presidency of Barack Hussein Obama? Has Obama′s mishandling of the war in Afghanistan and recent apology over the Koran burning at the root of this tragedy?
You may think I am reaching here, but let us examine the facts. For more than ten years now, we have been fighting in Afghanistan. There seems to be little progress, if any. Our relationship with the government of Hamid Karzai was marred from the beginning of the Obama administration when Obama publicly spoke ill of the Afghan leader. Since then, it has been all downhill. Even our ′allies′ in Pakistan have now turned against us thanks to the Obama policies.
One would think that after our withdrawal from Iraq that US troops would get a break from the grueling rotation schedule imposed upon them by the Obama administration. But instead, Obama is working to downsize the military, which leads to maintaining the relentless and endless schedule of troop deployments out of the United States. There is no peace dividend from Obama to our soldiers. The White House even wants to further burden our troops forcing them to pay more for health care coverage while waiving civilian Defense Department employees who belong to a union.
Barack Obama is using our military for his social experiments in the transformation of America into a Liberal-Progressive-Socialist nation. Our borders are less secure now than ever. Our troops are at the breaking point, fatigued by years of fighting as the politicians fail to carry out a rational plan with clear goals. This past week when Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta visited our forces in Afghanistan, troops were not allowed to carry firearms in his presence. Apparently, the Obama administration does not trust our own military.
US Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales, currently facing pending charges at Fort Leavenworth, may be just the latest victim of Barack Obama and his failed policies. There seems to be a growing narrative here that Bales was pushed over the edge and mentally snapped when he allegedly killed 16 Afghanistan civilians. That there were warning signs which should have led to Bales not being deployed in the first place. That Bales had already sacrificed enough of himself and his family. But Obama does not care about our troops. He loathes the military and all it stands for. Under such circumstances, is it any wonder that Hamid Karzai and the Afghan people want us out sooner rather than later?

A very good angle to this story. Sometimes we forget how much stress Obama has added to our men and women in uniform.
March 19th, 2012 at 4:44 am
I honestly didn’t see how you could tie this one to Obama.
I still don’t.
March 19th, 2012 at 5:31 am
I suppose, buzzbee, that you were also puzzled by those whom blamed George W. Bush for every little thing that happened, too? For eight years we had to put up with an endless stream of silly charges against Bush. I would have guessed by now that even you would realize that payback is a b***h.
Hopefully, you’ll only have to put up with it for another nine months, then you folks can start bellyaching about Mitt Romney everyday!
March 19th, 2012 at 5:34 am
I’ll make you a deal, buzzbee. I will join you in daily criticism of Mitt Romney if you help get him elected.
Now there’s a bargain!
March 19th, 2012 at 5:35 am
I’ll even gin up some photos of dogs tied to the roof of Air Force One! LOL!!!
March 19th, 2012 at 6:01 am
Leave it to this site to politicize this tragedy. Very tacky.
March 19th, 2012 at 9:14 am
Man, you guys sure live in a crazy-ass twisted world. Blame Obama?
I was walking around at my sisters house with only socks on and I stepped on a damn lego. That sh*t sucked! F*ck you Obama!
March 19th, 2012 at 9:45 am
Your article makes no sense. Obama has been in office for 3 years which means that for 7 of the remaining 10 years another Administration put this guy in harms way. In truth it is Obama that wants us out of this region as we have no real reason for being there, he got Bin Laden and of course Pakistan is upset by that, fact is PTSS is the result of troops spending too much time in combat but really casued this? It was all of the useless wars that President Bush and Chaney got us into. Obama was the guy who said let’s get out of here. On one hand, you want to stop federal spending but on the other hand, want the debt to be greater by making a larger army? for what so we can continue playing global policemen.
March 19th, 2012 at 10:07 am
I blame Obama every time my cat starts peeing on the carpet right next to the litter box whilst placidly looking at me, betting I won’t get over there fast enough to do anything about it.
March 19th, 2012 at 10:48 am
Seems that Sgt. Bales may be blaming Obama…
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/robert-bales-afghanistan-massacre-suspect-meet-lawyer-article-1.1046739
Staff Sgt. Robert Bales “was pretty upset about the way things were going down there,” Mike Holland, a friend of five years, told The Daily News. “He did not believe in the mission anymore. He thought what they were doing was wrong.”

Snork Rash
‘ Man, you guys sure live in a . . . ‘
So let me guess, Snorky. You ‘live’ @ Sissies house ?
The creepy uncle that pads around in his dirty socks and ‘lounge pants’ ?
Baby ! You’re A Rich man
March 19th, 2012 at 11:44 am
So it seems that you and the mass murderer are of the same opinion here.
March 19th, 2012 at 1:06 pm
So,…Snow is still playing with his Legos while only wearing socks ?
And you say we are weird ?
March 19th, 2012 at 1:13 pm
” In truth it is Obama that wants us out of this region as we have no real reason for being there,”
Seriously, are you stupid or just shootin for a giggle ?
March 19th, 2012 at 2:16 pm
So,…Snow is still playing with his Legos while only wearing socks ?
I was playing with my nephew. Holy hell those things suck to step on.
March 19th, 2012 at 4:43 pm
And then you busted out your Lincoln logs and got your dick in your zipper?
My nemesis is always craming my little toe on dining room chairs. Then I’d scream”motherfcker”! and then my mom would beat me with a strip of Hot Wheels track because I said a bad word, with my dick still stuck in the zipper.
Of course not everything is Obamas fault but when you create a situation that throws the majority of the population into chronic depression accidents, self medication, rage over little sht, are bound to be more frequent.
I just came from the store. Spent 44.00.
My wife asked for the receipt which I didn’t have. She checked our account online. She looked at the few bags of groceries and said “theres no fckin way you spent 44.00″
I went back to the store and got a duplicate reciept using the card I bought everything with.”
I felt like a schmuck for getting all hot and bothered and for her to go to get her own sht from now on.
If Barry would keep his nose out the countrys money there’d be a lot less people stressing out on each other.
Obama is to blame and has take some responsibility for what hes done the countrys frame of mind.
Its hard to function with visions of gloom and impending doom looking over your shoulder all the time.
Its like being depressed all time because you’re an alcoholic, so you drink some more to bury the anxiety of being a drunk.
The only solution is to take responsibility for more of you actions and stop blaming everyone and being a victim.
We have a spending habit thats caught up with us on Barrys shift, unfortunately hes the worst pick to deal with this mess.
It took alot of ass holes on both sides to create this economic nightmare.
And the president simply doesnt get it or admit that he pi$$ed away a lot money and futures because of his actions.
If h’ed at least acknowledge that he’s fcked up and made some mistakes he’d get a little credit from me, and everyone else as well.
One man can ruin a country. Obama is the only president thats brought this country closest as can be to that collapse.
March 19th, 2012 at 4:48 pm
And then you busted out your Lincoln logs and got your dick in your zipper?
What’s with you Christians and your obsession with sex and little boys?
I’m not even going to address the rest of your post because it’s all bullsh*t.
March 19th, 2012 at 5:51 pm
Snork
I’m afraid you’re skatin’ a little close to the edge.
I spoke with your sister’s ex husband and he is going to seek custody of the kids.
We do hope that we won’t read of you cuffing your snork nor exposing your rash at some school yard or Scout meeting.
That along with the incident of you found sniffing bicycle seats at the Y could spell big trouble for you at the county farm.
We urge you to seek council of clergy or solace in the bosom of the Daughters Of Bilitis.
March 19th, 2012 at 6:07 pm
Cattle,
I highly recommend you stop huffing the gold paint.
March 19th, 2012 at 6:35 pm
Hey, I’m not the running around neked with my cousin playin Legos.
My statement makes plenty and sense and you know it.
All countries have/had their risings and falls at one time or another due to one single man. Only a complete idiot would say that makes no sense.
As weve seen, the man elected to fix what took decades to accomplish is not of the pay grade needed to succeed.
Nothing, and I mean “nothing” this man has done has pushed this country further in any direction
He is an abject failure.
Many of his policies and other garbage flowing from his yap has done nothing at all.
Hes divided this country like none before.
Spent more in less time than all previous administrations combined, with nothing to show for it. Except of course for the mounting debt,he doesnt even have a budget that adresses how he approaches how anything is to be paid for.
Broken almost every campaign promise.
His administration from his spokesperson to Biden is completely dysfunctional.
You cant argue with it because its bullsht ?
Wow, you’re good !
You’re handing me that limp excuse leaves you holding a pretty big bag of bullsht yourself.
Would you rather try to pay off the debt left to us by all administrations or just Barrys alone ?
If you answered “just Barrys” you’re quite possibly the biggest idiot on earth.
Are you aware, according to math, that at his pace our debt will be over 50 trillion dollars before the decade is over.
There are literally hundreds of millions of people who want no trace of us left on the planet. Genocide on a scale 1/2 that of the world population is their goal.
And remember, Abdul will come for you and your moonbat buddies first.
The liberal American ideology is almost a completely different means of leadership ?
Gays getting married and abortions are not things they take too much appreciation for.
We have definitely picked the worst man at the most dangerous time in our history to be running this country.
Yes, he does have the power to directly effect many lives, all over the world but I’ll bet both my nuts its not him who scattered the Legos all over your house, I’ll give him that much credit .
Being naked playin legos with your nephew doesnt really bug me too much
March 19th, 2012 at 6:48 pm
Billy Ray sends his 13 year old daughter to MEXICO for spring break with 25 secret service men and Liberal Moonbats cannot understand why we don’t support this regime?
Pathetic.
March 19th, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Hey, I’m not the running around neked with my cousin playin Legos.
Uh… neither am I. You are just taking an innocent event, me and my nephew playing with legos together, and turning into some sick sexual fantasy of yours.
March 19th, 2012 at 7:21 pm
” You are just taking an innocent event, me and my nephew playing with legos together, and turning into some sick sexual fantasy of yours.”
In statement you didnt even deny it.
I asked;
“So,…Snow is still playing with his Legos while only wearing socks ?
And you answered;
“I was playing with my nephew. Holy hell those things suck to step on.”
Of course you couldnt really offer anything of substance regarding Obama being at fault for your injuries ”
Then, I tried to get back on topic spreading the irresponsibly over all parties and you’re btching about your boo boos.
Take your president, your nephew and his legos and all go fck yourselves while searching for a sense of humor
March 19th, 2012 at 7:25 pm
I shot an elephant wearing my pajamas
Get it stupid ?
March 19th, 2012 at 8:06 pm
In statement you didnt even deny it.
WTF is wrong with you?
Also, I’m not responding to your Obama comments because they are far too stupid for response.
March 19th, 2012 at 8:36 pm
My Obama comments make so much sense your simple mind cant even grasp it.
I gave equal criticism across the board for everyone involved in the last 50 years it took to accumulate our problems while explaining how one man can most definitely directly affect the course of peoples lives and have in the course of history.
Can you handle that ya big fcking hypersensitive moonbat crybaby ?
Obama is most certainly not responsible for you’re stepping on a lego.
But he most certainly has made an idiot out of you by having you and countless others stickin up for him and his countless errors, none of which you could argue or debate away except to say “bullsht”..
Wow ! thats so convincing, I’m sorry.
At least I offered up a relative situation regarding families and their stretched out budgets.
All you offered up was literally “BULLSHT”
G nite, want me to leave the door open for you a little bit ?
pu$$y
When did you turn into such a little dweeb ?
March 19th, 2012 at 8:39 pm
Or demand a refund from your dealer.
You sound like he spiked your sht with idiocy
March 20th, 2012 at 12:37 am
So ! Snorky
You don’t deny the bicycle seat incident ?
That’s what got Elvis kicked out of the Army, you know ?
Cold War Sausage Eatin’ Krauts. Ewwwww !
March 20th, 2012 at 5:08 am
Rush Limbaugh is a more likely person to blame. Fortunately our armed forces can’t listen to his treason anymore, from what I understand.
Even if I believed that Obama as president bears the ultimate responsibility for this, I would not admit it to you, because you’re a bunch of scum.
March 20th, 2012 at 5:14 am
Well, Klo, if Obama wants to take credit for the Navy SEALs offing Bin Laden, then he has take assume some responsibility for this tragic incident in Afghanistan. The buck stops here, or there, on Obama’s desk.
March 20th, 2012 at 5:44 am
“Well, Klo, if Obama wants to take credit for the Navy SEALs offing Bin Laden, then he has take assume some responsibility for this tragic incident in Afghanistan.”
Um, no. The president gave an order to the seals.
March 20th, 2012 at 6:11 am
Ghost of Gloom
Um, no. Armed Forces Radio has not succumbed to
the Radical Left Wingding Creep Squad.
Rush is one of the most popular programs on
AFR and WILL remain so.
March 20th, 2012 at 11:36 am
Wasnt it about this guys 6th or 7th deployment ?
Any man could crack at that point no matter whos in charge.
But there are no doubt many very well documented incidents caused by one man that have brought down entire civilizations.
Any of us could think of 2 or 3 off the top of our heads.
When an entire countrys people are starving because of one man you most certainly can blame the amount of despair going on in that country because of one man.
For 8 years we had to listen to you idiots blame Bush for every little fckin he did.
I’ve been as fair as possible by assigning fair blame to those who participated in creating what has taken us 30-4o years to accomplish.
The fact is that the guy presently running the show is an idiot.
Quite possibly the biggest idiot thats been in charge at the worst possible time ever in our countrys history.
Hes already depleated a huge amount of pride in those who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan
Now they’re coming home they’re coming home and both countries have returned to exactly the same problem they were 8 years ago.
We killed Saddam and Bin Laden and now it seems WE lost the war on terror by retreating thereby rendering our heros deaths all for FCKING NOTHING !!
Sht, I’d go on a rampage and then shoot myself also !
March 20th, 2012 at 11:41 am
hey does anyone remember that obamas decision to escalate/”surge” in afghaninstan was celebrated by the right and seen as a massive disappointment/betrayal by the left? probably not andrew or mccain or any of the other “pundits” on this site who so misrepresent current news its unlikely they remember recent history, if they ever knew it at all. A reminder then– the right wanted us to surge. they were also opposed to any timeline for withdrawal… when obama did surge he hugely pissed off his supporters.
of course to the right anything obama does is automatically wrong, even when it mirrors their ow n policies, which it frequently does. so theyre forced to take the opposite (even liberal) side, just to oppose obama. even when it means totally jettisoning positions they had argued for 8 years.
amazing. so they jump to the left of obama, and from THERE call him a socialist… frequently invoke the lefts own arguments…
sigh.
March 20th, 2012 at 11:42 am
ignore the typos people… im on my phone
March 20th, 2012 at 1:09 pm
That’s a great strawman argument Me. The real problem with Obama is he is an incompetent manager. He does not actually know what he is doing, and to our brave men and women in uniform he is uninspiring. No wonder the low morale he created is getting people killed.
March 20th, 2012 at 1:23 pm
” so theyre forced to take the opposite (even liberal) side, just to oppose obama. even when it means totally jettisoning positions they had argued for 8 years.”
Not here buddy. I’ll die believing Iraq and Afghanistan was right thing to do.
But yeah, I remember kinda the same thing happening when we first went into Iraq. The majorities were supporting Bush.
(until the elections came round)I also remember Obama making use of and taking credit for policies drafted previously by Bush.
Drones were bad, until Obama ramped up their use.
Bushs surge in Iraq was told it would never work.
Gitmo had to go until the epiphany came about that its the only place to keep and try these monsters.
Renditions were bad, until Barry sent our enemies to Egypt and other hidden camps.
And please, dont bore us with the same bs about WMD and we took the oil.
And still, today, you idiots have no idea how stupid you were being.
Oh, and its the timeline that pi$$ed us off, not the retreat “with timeline”.
To let your enemy know exactly when you’re leaving is quite possibly the dumbest thing anyone in a war could do.
Bush already had withdrawal dates set. The exact dates were not divulged. They were to happen in what he and Malaki called a “foreseeable horizon”.
If anything I’m sure most of you are beginning to realize how stupid you sounded blaming Bush for every mosquito bite on earth.
Turnabouts a btch, and fairplay
March 20th, 2012 at 1:58 pm
First, to Micky, it was Bales’ 4th deployment in 6 or 7 years.
To ‘Me’, you ‘may’ recall that when Obama ordered the surge, he did not give the military the troops they wanted, only about half of the forces requested. Maybe, just maybe, had he sent the full amount, things would have turned out differently and Sgt. Bales would not have had to go back?
March 20th, 2012 at 4:17 pm
It’s amazing to pay a quick visit this web page and reading the views of all colleagues regarding this paragraph, while I am also zealous of getting familiarity.
