No Merry Christmas for Michele Bachmann in 2011. The presidential candidate was at the eatery, the Hamburg Inn holding a campaign rally in Iowa City on Thursday. Bachmann was heckled by a gay robot, as well as other protesters. The gay robot was actually a man in a robot costume, who used a megaphone to shout at Bachmann. Calling him, or itself, ′Roboprof′, the gay robot taunted Michele Bachmann. He is the same Gay Robot who had once taunted Bill Clinton. The local newspaper, the Iowa City Patch, published an account of the event. ″I am a gay robot. I oppose Bachmann′s position on gays, whether they are human or robots.″ Other protesters were loud and chanting ″You′re not wanted here. So go, just go.″ The protesters, it turns out, were about 24 strong and members of Occupy Iowa City. Imagine that! Iowa City has its own group of Occupiers.
Which brings us to a more interesting story than this gay robot thing. Lets face it, Bachmann backed herself into this corner. While I do not believe she is homophobic, as in actually being frightened of gays or wishing to do them physical harm, in this political atmosphere, Bachmann, and the other candidates, truly need to focus on one topic, the economy. It is the only game in town for them to challenge Obama effectively on.
The more interesting story revealed here is that the Iowa caucus is truly in danger of being disrupted by the Occupy movement. They are vowing to screw things up as much as possible. The quirky nature of the caucus process opens itself up to all manner of mischief. Just look at how ACORN and SEIU manipulated all but one Democrat caucus in 2008 in favor of Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton. A lot of Occupy protesters are from the ranks of both organizations.
The simple method for them to effect the outcome is to show up at the caucus sites early and lock others out, or just be peaceful and vote for Ron Paul. That in itself will skew the Iowa caucus enough, especially if Paul winds up with 40-50% of the ballots. Either way, it is not looking good right now for any meaningful result to be gleaned from Iowa.
The run in between Michele Bachmann and a gay robot in Iowa City is just the first sign of what to expect. A group from Occupy Iowa City invaded the Hamburg Inn where Bachmann was holding a campaign rally. Some two dozen protesters, including a man in a robot costume calling himself ′Roboprof′, heckled the 2012 Republican presidential candidate. He is the same Gay Robot who had once taunted Bill Clinton. According to the Iowa City Patch, police did intervene. Bachmann has had other incidents of late due to her stance on gays and gay rights.

The whole Occupy movement has become viewed by most Americans as a shifty, violent bunch. Their message has been lost in all the broken store windows, tear gas filled streets and ruined public lavatories the Occupiers have left in their wake.

Since the second comment uses the term “Most Americans” as well should I assume you gathered your results from the same source as Derek.

John Edwards was a darling of gays and yet in private said that you people gave him the willies. But he’d say or do anything to get your vote.
Do you honestly think any Democrat other than Barney Frank gives a damn about you? You’re just one of many, many special interest, minority groups that make up the base of the Democrat party. None of them would spread their cheeks for you but your an easy vote so they tell you what you want to hear. And you fall for it.

Btw- the effectiveness of the robot thing is proven by the fact that it worked. It got major coverage, and highlighted how insane Bachmann (and other anti-gay rights) candidates are.
Another great example? That open apology to “defense of marriage” politician Amy Koch:

In America today, due to the evil of the left, a decent American like Michelle Bachmann can’t even run for office without constant attacks….we need to back her…believe me I’m from Minnesota and she’s tough enough to deal with it and is everything she says she is….she’s honest, sincere, she’s intelligent and articulate and I can say with no uncertainty that I believe she is the only candidate that can and will do the job we want done in America today. She is a conservative that will deliver to Americans the determination to stop the assault on America and finally turn things around before we fall off the abyss….

After reading this item I for one did not like what that guy in the Robot outfit did. I also see that if a Lib was heckled like she was the Libs would of been all pissed off at shim. We all need to start working together as Americans and first of all get rid of the Illegal Immigrants then get rid of the facist and send them to France or where the French Canadians live.
