Obama’s policy of forcing US gun shops in the southwest to sell American guns to Mexican narco-terrorists has already killed one for sure and maybe two U.S. law enforcement agents. Obama’s Operation Fast And Furious is also responsible for selling the guns that were used to kill well over 200 Mexican citizens. And as far as U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is concerned, even talking about the disastrous policy is merely engaging in “gotcha” politics and — naturally — raaaaaacim. I guess the murder of US law enforcement agents don’t mean much to Eric Holder, our nation’s chief law enforcement officer?

In his appearance in Austin, Texas early last week, Holder whined that attacks on his incompetence is just politics meant to get at himself and Obama because they are black, an idiotic claim on its face. No one has argued that “the black Holder” should resign but all who’ve called for his resignation have substantive reasons. From his refusal to prosecute vote fraud, to his attempts to eliminate vote reform, and including his complicity in Fast and Furious, Holder’s critics have complained about his far left, progressive, race-driven policies not his being black.

Even the left-wing New York Times notes that Obama’s Department of Justice is “stepping into some of the most politically divisive social issues of the day.” This is a tacit agreement with the idea that Eric Holder is using his position to affect a left-wing social agenda instead of properly enforcing the laws.

Naturally, like all far left, agenda driven liberals, he has no intention of resigning. As Mike Hashimoto of the Dallas Morning News wonders, “At some point, one might think, Holder becomes more of a liability to the Obama re-election campaign than a 50-50 incumbent can stand.” But resigning is for people with shame. Holder has none of that to worry about.

I think Ed Morrissey has it right on Holder, though. It is too late to contain the damage he’s caused the Obama administration.

At first, I thought the same thing. After all, one of the key duties of a Cabinet secretary is to fall on one’s sword when scandal erupts, in order to buffer the boss from the political fallout. At this late date, I don’t think Holder will exit at all, unless so many Democrats start calling for his ouster that Barack Obama has to worry about Holder getting impeached. Obama would have to get Senate confirmation on a replacement for Holder in the case of resignation, and I think Obama is worried what that might mean, especially in an election year. The only way he’d get a relatively painless confirmation from the Senate would be if he nominated a reformer Republicans could trust to get to the bottom of a number of issues of Holder’s tenure, and Obama clearly doesn’t want to make that any easier for Republicans than it is now.

Morrissey is also right that the family of Brian Terry will see no justice from this Department of “Justice.” Obama and Holder don’t see this DOJ as a law enforcement agency, but an agency to push far left, liberal ideas. They view this DOJ as just another tool to further their liberal political agenda.

The Daily Caller has Rep. Allen West refuting AG Holder’s claim that it is racism spurring attacks against Holder’s incompetance.

Florida Republican Rep. Allen West told The Daily Caller on Monday that Attorney General Eric Holder’s use of the race card as a way to attack those who are criticizing him is “reprehensible.”

“I think this is absolutely the last card in the deck, and that shows how weak their ground is,” West said in a phone interview. “But, what that means is they want to make white individuals afraid of continuing to put the pressure on Eric Holder because they don’t want to be seen as racist, and that is something that we have got to move beyond.”
