And Perry will give us another Bush era at best. He’s for amnesty and anyone in favor of Perry is by proxy seeking the collapse of the country as we know it.
You people act like Perry is so great, taking a bribe from a pharmaceutical company for them to provide the drugs he mandated for all women to take, when government has no business forcing people to receive any type of treatment in the first place.
How ironic, you people use Romney’s healthcare plan to persecute him and compare him to obamacare when Perry imposed a form of government healthcare on the people of his state for a bribe. He’s no better than obama or obamacare, get real!

Ron, I love ya dude but you gotta lighten up in the face of the fact that Romney is really no more a con than Perry is.
5000.00 bucks is hardly a bribe as far the vaccination goes which is only a decent apparatus to public health.
HPV is contagious, can be spread from woman to man, then from man to women but the vaccine only works for women.
1/2 of every man out there has it and doesnt know so I really wish everyone would drop the totalitarian force of government bullsht when the vaccine is just as viable and practical as any aids prevention.
Both will killl your loved ones.
My cancer was a result of HPV which I didnt know I had till a few years ago.
Anyone can catch it and by no means does taking the precaution label anyone promiscuous.
The vaccine, like any and every drug with side effects has saved many many more lives than it has hurt.
Ya know, it works both ways…
whats so fckin great about Romney ?
The both suck if you ask me

Our kida already are subjected to mandatory vaccinations against some or all of the following diseases: mumps, measles, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and polio.
So, why is everyone using this particular vaccine as a talking point when its really no more dangerous than any of the above ?

CNN;
The facts:
After Perry made this statement during the debate, questions have been raised about the timing of his executive order and when he met Heather Burcham, the 31-year-old woman he referenced.
Perry on Feb. 2, 2007, signed the order directing the state Health and Human Services commissioner to mandate human papillomavirus vaccination for all girls before admission to the sixth grade. Perry at the time released a statement saying that the vaccine “provides us with an incredible opportunity to effectively target and prevent cervical cancer,” which HPV can cause.
Perry met Burcham after Feb. 2, 2007, campaign spokesman Mark Miner told CNN Friday, but he was not sure of the precise date. Miner said Perry never claimed to have met Burcham before he signed the order.
The governor and Burcham developed a friendship during the time and Burcham testified in favor of the mandate, Miner told CNN, referring to the Texas Legislature’s review of Perry’s order. According to the Houston Chronicle, Burcham, of Houston, initially planned to testify February 19, 2007, but was too exhausted when a hearing went late into the evening, Perry’s office said at the time.
The Legislature passed a bill overturning Perry’s order in April 2007. Perry declined to veto the bill, which went into effect in May 2007, killing his order.
Perry’s friendship with Burcham had an impact on the governor during the legislative process, the spokesman said. Perry gave Burcham his personal cell phone number, gave her a motorcycle ride and kept up with and visited her at the hospital during a “difficult time” in her illness, Miner said. The spokesman said foes are distorting Perry’s stance on the HPV issue by raising questions on when he met Burcham.
The governor spoke at a memorial service for Burcham, who died in July 2007.
The verdict:
Misleading. While Burcham did lobby in favor of the vaccine, it appears she did so after Perry signed the order directing HHS to mandate the vaccine for all girls before admission to the sixth grade.”

Safety of the HPV vaccine
“Both vaccines have been licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for females aged 9 through 26 years and approved by CDC as safe and effective. Both vaccines were studied in thousands of people around the world and vaccine safety continues to be monitored by CDC and the FDA. These studies showed no serious safety concerns. Common, mild adverse events reported during these studies include pain where the shot was given, fever, dizziness, and nausea.
Fainting can occur after any medical procedure, including vaccination. Recent data suggest that fainting after any vaccination is more common in adolescents. Falls and injuries can occur after fainting. Adolescents and adults should be seated or lying down during vaccination. Sitting or lying down for about 15 minutes after a vaccination can help prevent fainting and injuries.
More than 35 million doses of HPV vaccine have been distributed in the United States as of June, 2011. Almost all doses distributed have been Gardasil.”

Lately there’s only negative stories about Mitt Romney on this site but nothing at all negative about Perry. I know you “can’t stand” Romney as you admitted in pasts posts so you now act like you don’t realize this is the case because you like what’s happening to Romney.
In all fairness I don’t see ANY stories at all of Perry directing the State of Texas to educate illegal immigrants by subsidizing their tuition while Americans pay full price. Then he says if you don’t agree with what he did you have no heart? Seriously? What about Americans coming first in their own country? Where’s the story on this site? How about his POOR performance when it comes to the border and how he lost the debate to Santorum? Where’s the story on this site?
Silence is consent…

Uh, no “silence” is NOT “consent.”
Absence of discussion does not equal acceptance.
True, I can’t stand the flip flopping, non-conservative, finger-in-the-wind Mitt Romney. You cannot believe a word the man says on ANY subject. I’d believe he’d turn on his wife if he thought he could get something out of it. The man seems to have few fast principles.
… and he’s still 1,000 times better than the manchild we have as president today.
But the fact is, I have not come out to support Perry or any other GOP primary candidate. In fact, I have major problems with all of them.
But you made a claim that we all have said that Perry “is so perfect.” You are not telling the truth at all. Nowhere on this site can you see any of us say he “so perfect.” Nowhere.
You don’t see any articles here talking about how great lima beans taste, either. But, guess what? I hate lima beans.
Here’s an idea for you. The next time you want to actually discuss politics, start without the ad hominems and silliness. If you think Romney is so perfect, tell us why. If you think Perry sucks, tell us that. But don’t tell us what we think based on your failed mind reading techniques.

And “be fair”? When did I ever agree to “be fair” to anyone? This is an opinion site. Opinions by their very nature are rarely “fair.”
Speaking of being “fair” you, yourself are not being fair. Why are you focusing ONLY on Romney and Perry? By “your silence” you just dissed Cain, Newt, Santorum, Bachman, Johnson and the other 24 people running for president. Why aren’t you “fair” to them?

Micky, I wholeheartedly agree with you.
While I am no fan of Perry, on this he was correct.
It is a vaccine like any other other, only more important due to the risk of death related to the disease.
There was also an opt out clause for anyone that wanted to exercise that option.
Most of the other vaccines you mentioned are required before anyone can attend school.
I can’t think of any reason for the uproar other than the fact that the disease can be transmitted sexually.
In the twisted mind of some people, they think that it is a license to be promiscuous, when in fact it is no such thing.
It is a good thing there is no vaccine for HIV. Those same people would assume it would promote homosexual behavior.
There does not seem to be any controversy about a mandated smallpox vaccine.

But, when it comes to teens and parenting, I’ve been both and would much rather put my faith in the vaccine instead of thinking or hoping that my child would heed my lessons of abstinence or safe sex.
I do not trust the hormonal teenage rage and would rather subject my kids to the odds the vaccine holds rather than the odds life in general poses for a teen.
I wont go into too much detail but my cancer was caused by contracting this disease from some woman 20-30 years ago thinking the symptoms were minor and used half measures in dealing with it.
I would much rather have the vaccination knowing I could save someone the misery I went thru with rectal cancer.

I have a very checkered past, to put it mildly, and seriously regret the fact that theres a shtload of women out there that I unknowingly gave HPV to.
