Tomorrow, a new season premiere of Sons of Guns, the story of Red Jacket Firearms, begins on the Discovery Channel. The program, filmed in Baton Rouge, follows Will and Stephanie Hayden and their merry band of gunsmiths as they build and modify weaponry for the military, law enforcement, and gun enthusiasts.

This season, some of the efforts of the Hayden team include joining 3 M-16s together, combining an AK and a sniper rifle, and placing a silencer on a grenade launcher. Last season, the series was one of the most popular cable programs, and is expected to remain so (as long as Stephanie stars on the show).

As well, one of the episodes will feature a mock air-sea battle that was filmed during the very enjoyable 4th of July celebration. According to Hayden, who aided in making the battle as realistic as possible as a re-enactment of a Japanese torpedo air attack upon an American ship, the USS Kidd.

For those of you who have missed the first season, here is a video showing some of the weaponry made last season.
