All of this comes after Monday when Anthony Weiner admitted to sending lewd photos and messages to a number of women using his Twitter account, Facebook and email. Yesterday, the ante was increased when police in Delaware began an investigation concerning a 17-year old girl whom had had communications with Weiner. The Delaware teenage girl reportedly received at least one message since mid-April where Weiner mentions wearing a tight-fitting superhero costume with a cape. Police seized the girl′s computer and is reviewing all messages exchanged between her and Anthony Weiner.

Meanwhile, Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner′s wife, continues to travel overseas with her boss, Hillary Clinton. Abedin is reportedly pregnant, having married Weiner last summer. So far, reports are that she intends to stay with Weiner and attempt to resolve any marriage difficulties. Huma is also reported to be pressing for Weiner not to resign, mainly for financial reasons.

Today′s news of more top Democrats calling for Weiner to resign comes as the New York Democrat requests a leave of absence to seek professional treatment. After Anthony Weiner admitted to sending lewd photos and messages to several women, his seat in the House of Representatives becomes more difficult to retain. Especially now that an investigation by police in Delaware on Weiner communicating with a 17-year old girl has begun. Some see his decision to seek a leave of absence as perhaps the first step towards his eventual resignation.
