Perhaps one of the best new books this year is Righteous Indignation by Andrew Breitbart. Subtitled: Excuse Me While I Save The World, the book is part biography, part history lesson and plenty of juicy, insider insights on the ever changing face of the New Media. Breitbart has become the new lightning rod as stormy Progressive-Liberals take aim at Conservatives and Libertarians alike. He has been at the center of several key controversies in the past three years, from the downfall of ACORN to the whole Sherry Sherrod/NAACP episode. The story of Andrew Breitbart is the story of the changing American political landscape.

Andrew Breitbart started off in a life as a Liberal. Born and raised in Brentwood, California, he was in downtown Hollywood-Celebrity-ville. If you wanted to be popular, you had to be a Liberal. In the 1990s, Breitbart began to change, citing the Clarence Thomas hearings as his turning point. His big break was in 1995 when he came across The Drudge Report. Breitbart became part of Matt Drudge′s inner circle as Drudge revolutionized the Internet as a news media source. Oddly enough, Breitbart helped Arianna Huffington put together The Huffington Post, even after she ended her days as a Republican.

Breitbart soon started his own series of websites, which in recent years, have evolved into a force of their own on the Internet. The ACORN story is perhaps the best example of how the New Media has transformed, where now just about anybody with an idea can become a citizen-journalist. The fall of ACORN helped unravel decades of corruption which had soured America politically and morally. As we have seen a few months ago with the NPR story, the spread of Liberal-Progressives in the Old Media, in government, in business and in our culture, had become a cancer to society. This is why Breitbart has become Public Enemy Number One to the Far-Left.

So the new book, Righteous Indignation by Andrew Breitbart is an excellent read and provides us with the background and insights in the latest phase of America′s culture war. Released by Grand Central Publishing′s Hachette Book Group, Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save The World is one book that is a must read if you are interested in politics and or the New Media. Andrew Breitbart blazes the trail for anyone who is prepared to do their part in ending the nearly century-long grip the Far-Left has had on the Media and American culture in general.
