After months of being generally quiet, Sarah Palin is back speaking her mind on the nation’s issues. During an appearance Friday on Fox News “Special Report”, Palin responded to host Bret Baier on GOP plans concerning raising the Debt Ceiling. “Hells no, I would not vote to increase the debt ceiling. Otherwise it just shows the American people we′re not serious yet.” Once again, Palin takes on her role as Mama Grizzly defending her den of cubs. Sarah Palin, the Tea Party darling, is throwing the gauntlet down on the debt ceiling and making deep spending cuts.

Palin went on to say “We’re still going to incur more debt. And we don’t have to increase the debt ceiling in the next few weeks. It turns my stomach to hear the assumption articulated that we have to, despite the fact we’re racking in, the federal government, $6 billion a day. Take that money and service our debt first and pay down some of that debt. Make sure that we’re showing the international financial markets and our lenders that we’re serious about getting our debt and deficit problems under control.”

Is Sarah Palin gearing up for a presidential run in 2012? For some time, it appeared that she might be conceding the role of Tea Party Mama Grizzly to Michelle Bachmann. But with Bachmann of late toning down her rhetoric to appear more ‘presidential’. But the mood in the country is one of anger and rage towards conventional politicians. This is why Donald Trump is now surging in the polls as he is articulating that rage with his tough talk.

During Tea Party rally in Wisconsin last April 16, Sarah Palin came out swinging, launching into some tough talk herself against not only Barack Obama, but the timid in the GOP, taunting them to “fight like girls”, referring to the Wisconsin women hockey team that won. Both Palin and Donald Trump are already in full combat mode, battling away at the political establishment. They are outsiders, swinging away at all comers with either an R or a D at the end of their names. Palin took a tough stand on the debt ceiling and spending cuts. About time somebody does!
