A photo of German Chancellor Angela Merkel suckling the Kaczynski twins appears in a Polish political magazine. Merkel’s bare breasts made the cover of the conservative news and opinion magazine Wprost.
That is Polish Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski nursing on Angela Merkel’s left (her right boob from our astonished readers’ view), and President Lech Kaczynski on the right of the two n*pples. Just in case you wanted to know the fullness of this story, not that we would ever milk an enormous story purely for increased readership. We are faithfully presenting the bare facts.
The conservative editors of Wprost magazine are making the statement that Germans are trying to politically dominate their neighbors particularly through the European Union. German positioning vis-a-vis Poland is particularly sensitive for Poland because of their miserable World War II history with the Nazis and the long aftermath. The message is that Germany’s Angela Merkel is Europe’s Step-mother, so her girls are making a political statement.
Germans are outraged at the offense, and who can understand why?
As an aside, this picture underscores a cultural difference between western nations despite our common heritage from the Greeks. You would never see this photo in Time Magazine, or any other established American political magazine. The closest we would see in any respected media outlet would perhaps be in a political cartoon. Can you just imagine the outrage if this were Hillary Clinton’s boobs in a respected American journal?
And in these matters, our American culture is an exception to the Greco-Roman traditions that are followed in most European countries. Nudity was admired 2500 years ago in Greece, and although art went regressive for 1500 years, the Renaissance revived the old western cultural tradition. But not in U.S. mainstream society!

Lisa, that is a good point. The difference, at least for me, is that art was covered by the news rather than created by the editors of a mainstream media outlet. And it also a depiction of Hillary, much as an editorial cartoon would be, and not the photoshopped lady herself. I just can’t see this photo on the cover of Time or Newsweek, can you? In fact, I think it just might be illegal.

Our readers are so smart, and everyone should click Sheldon’s name to find that site. Hilarious! Butt(!), there are no Hillary teets showing so that just won’t firm up the matter.
