MSNBC’s ‘Countdown’ fans wait with baited breath as former host Keith Olbermann launches his new website this week. Calling it “FOK News Channel” where the acronym stands for “Friends of Keith,” the ousted anchor has already begun posting stories to his new venture. Get the full story with pictures and video below!
The well respected long-time MSNBC host landed in hot water last year after he was suspended from his job for making three financial contributions in the amount of $2,400 to Gabrielle Giffords and Raul Grijalva. He was then in his 7th year as the host of Countdown and easily MSNBC’s most popular anchor.
Freed from the constricting limits set by his former employer, he quickly signed up with Al Gore’s Current TV network. The fledgling network is a new creation by the former VP geared at a younger audience.
“We now live in a world with fewer and fewer opportunities to hear truly unique, truly unfettered voices on television. Keith is one of those rare voices,” Gore said of his acquisition.
But is was just this past week that Twitter confrimed the host’s newest venture. He tweeted, I’m “proud to announce: Coming very very soon – your FokNewsChannel website.” Olbermann launches his new website in obvious opposition to his favorite whipping boy, FOX News.
Still, while it must certainly be a freeing experience for the former MSNBC man, some worry that a personal website and a spot on a smaller liberal network might marginalize Keith’s impact on American politics. That aside, he couldn’t seem more confident about his new career direction.
“Nothing is more vital to America than a free media,” he said, “and nothing is more vital to my concept of a free media than news that is produced independent of corporate interference.”
What do you think of the new career path being taken by the former MSNBC host as Olberman launches his new website FOK News Channel (www.foknewschannel.com)? Are you a fan? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section after you check out photos and video on the story below!

Think the name is a shot at FOX? Wonder if there will be any legal claims there. Just took a minute to look at his site. What an arrogant piece of work. And the post. Oh Keith we love you, you were missed,” etc. Please
I wish people would actually take time and research before they jump on the band wagon about anything. Loved the bit on FOX last week. Protesters were outside and the producer went out to speak to them.
Why are you protesting?
All Fox does is lie
What do they lie about?
all they do is lie
What specifically are you talking about?
FOX news does nothing but lie
Just as bad as a discussion I had with some one I work with.
– Walker ought to be ran out of office. All he is doing is trying to destroy the unions.
I asked “how is he destroying the unions?”
The answer – He just wants to destroy the unions so they do not donate money to the Democrats.
I asked “Why do you think that?” – The answer – That’s what I heard on the news.
I can and will discuss anything with anyone as long as it remains a discussion. Start arguing and it is over. What I hate is when they do not have an opinion of their own. If all you can do is parrot some one else, then, it is my belief, that you do not have an opinion of your own.
Just MHO

Olbermann can be long winded but after a while he gets to the point after he takes you around his creative orchestration of words. If he wasn’t a broadcast journalist he’d probably be a conductor of some orchestra.Even if you dont follow him, somehow he makes sense out of chaos.

MSNBC better start worrying. Other than reduce their ratings, this new network is going NOWHERE!

He should have chosen ‘Friends of Olbermann’ instead. FOO News Channel. Way more accurate.

As long as I’m not paying for it I don’t care.
Might be a good place to to if we wanna kick some moonbat ass. Thats if there’s any visitor commentary allowed
Of course you’d have to depend on moonbat editors

Ugh, that’s what I hate about Hushington Post. It’s almost impossible to post anything ‘controversial’ (even if you omit curse words and what-not) cuz they have fckin N@zi’s for moderators there.

I think it would be an excellent move if FOX ‘offered’ Keith a time slot with a contract double that of MSNBCs. Put him opposite of Hannity
Call it KFC
The Keith/FOX channel
