We might never expect a hockey game to provide evidence that the people of America are gentle. Yet last weekend, prior to a hockey game in Norfolk, Virginia between the Norfolk Admirals and the Connecticut Whale we saw clear evidence that the spirit of comity is alive and well. An 8 year old girl, Elizabeth Hughes, had begun singing the National Anthem prior to the game. Halfway through her rendition, her microphone went out… so some of the fans decided to help her out a little. See the video to see how it went.
