Democrat staffer and husband of White House operative found dead

Ashley Turton was found dead in her BMW automobile near her Washington D. C. home on Monday. Turton is a former chief of staff to Connecticut Democrat Representative Roas DeLauro and is married to White House liaison from the House of Representatives Dan Turton.

Strangely the car was on fire when Turton’s body was discovered by firefighters responding to the blaze.

Both D.C. Homicide Detectives and the fire department are investigating the incident.

Metropolitan Police Lt. Nicholas Breul tried to lead reporters into reporting this as an “accident.”

“This could be just a tragic freak accident. And that’s why we’re crossing our i’s and dotting our t’s because it is a little freaky, and we need to figure out why. But there is no indication now that there was any crime.”

How a car with a dead body in it parked at its home, one not involved with a car crash, could have been “accidentally” set on fire is anyone’s guess.

Neighbors reported the blaze at about 5 AM on Monday. The fire caused heavy damage to the garage in which it was parked as well as the auto.
