Last week we learned that a Swedish man’s penis was amputated due to a misdiagnosis, in part because it took five months before he was able to schedule an appointment at the hospital. When he finally got in, he was told he had cancer and would no longer have a penis. Nice, huh?

Then, at the bottom of the paper, called The Local (“Sweden’s News in English”), there’s a headline that reads “Swedish Society — Democracy, Equality, and Tolerance.” Below it is an ad for the Swedish Institute that claims Sweden’s

“economic and social system has lifted the country to one of the highest standards of living in the world.”

Interesting juxtaposition. A man’s most favorite tool was just taken away from him because he enjoys the highest standard of living in the world.

Keep in mind that the left love Sweden — it’s the country they most often point to as being superior to America and the kind of system President Obama thinks is best. Which means that if Obamacare is not overturned, it would most assuredly result in fewer penises across America — or something similar. It may take decades for it to digress to this point, but we now have Sweden as evidence for its ultimate demise.

Fortunately, this week Republicans in Congress are set to overturn Obamacare. I, for one, feel confident they and the American people will right the wrong that’s been in done in the name of “democracy, equality, and tolerance.” I’m just sick about the fact that an entire presidency has been spent on this one issue, and that we’ve had to spend years undoing the damage.

Just think about all the time we’ve wasted and all the other things we could have been doing.
