The happy couple released official Royal engagement photos this week, taken by famed photographer Mario Testino. Find out where to see them, and see a video of the engaged royalty below!

The selection of photographer was a signifigant choice for Prince William, as on of Testino’s most famous works was a series of pictures of Princess Diana shortly before her untimely death in 1997. William even gave his fiance his mother’s engagement ring in order to give her a part in their wedding.

“It’s my mother’s engagement ring, so I thought it was quite nice because, obviously, she’s not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all. This was my way of keeping her close to it all,” William said in an interview shortly after the engagement was announced last month.

The first of the Royal engagement photos show a relaxed Prince and future Princess in each others arms. The second, more formal shot, shows them standing in a state room at St. James Palace. Getting his photogenic disposition from his mother no-doubt, William couldn’t look happier with Kate.

“Prince William has worked with Mario Testino on many occasions before, and so the couple decided that he was the right choice for such an important portrait,” said a Clarence House spokeswoman.

“I am very happy to have been asked to cover this historic moment that the whole world was waiting for,” Testino said in a statement. “They are in their prime and brimming with happiness. I have never felt so much joy as when I see them together.”
