Jimmy McMillan became an overnight sensation during his appearance on stage at the New York Gubernatorial debate. Now, the leader of the Rent Is Too Damn High party has a doll designed after him. Actually, there are two Rent Is Too Damn High dolls. The Jimmy McMillan action figures have become as popular as other dolls based on political personalities, such as Sarah Palin and Barack Obama.

Wearing black gloves and mutton chops, the Jimmy McMillan ‘Rent Is Too Damn High’ Doll comes in both talking and non-verbal models. The talking version plays a recording of several of Jimmy McMillan’s more infamous lines from the televised debate. If you want a Jimmy McMillan doll saying ‘My Rent Is Too DAMN High!’, it will cost you $49.95 from Herobuilders.com. The non-speaking doll costs ten dollars less.

The Connecticut-based company produces other dolls of a political bend, including a Sarah palin doll and dolls of both Barack and Michelle Obama. They even sell dolls of other characters, like Christine O’Donnell, in a witch costume of course, Nancy Pelosi, Joe The Plumber, Michele Bachmann and Russia’s sexy super-spy, Anna Chapman. Most of these are in the $29.95 (for a Hillary Clinton doll) to $49.95 (for a talking “Don’t Taze Me Bro” doll).

By the way, some of the dolls come in multiple version, depending on your purposes. For example, the Sarah Palin doll comes in several models, ranging from a work-out action figure to one of her wearing a school girl uniform. Barack Obama also comes in both a ‘normal’ Obama doll and a version of Obama painted as the evil Joker from the Batman movies.

But right now, the man of the hour is Jimmy McMillan, head of the Rent Is Too Damn High party. Since it’s release, the Rent Is Too Dam High doll has been selling like hotcakes. We’ll see if the Jimmy McMillan doll will have the ‘legs’ like those of the Sarah Palin dolls to keep selling after the elections this coming Tuesday. But for now, Too Damn High is all the rage!
