A battle royale is brewing between the Obama White House and the United States Chamber of Commerce. The political brawl began over a new DNC TV ad accusing Republicans of being funded by corporations and foreign sources. It then evolved over the weekend when Barack Obama’s White House aide, David Axelrod, accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of receiving foreign money and donating it to support GOP candidates. Several Liberal groups with websites and blogs then also joined the accusations, all of which are unfounded.

With Democrats growing desperate as the November 2010 mid-term elections approach in 20 days, this latest attempt of ‘fear & smear’ is typical of Democrat politics. Unable to run on any accomplishments, because the only legislation they did pass is opposed by a majority of Americans, the DNC is resorting to lies and mud-slinging.

Even major news organizations, such as the New York Times, the Washington Post and CBS News, have all refuted the allegations being made by the Democrats and the Obama White House against the Chamber of Commerce. Calls by the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress and other Soros-funded groups are demanding that the United States Chamber of Commerce make their list of donors public. But when the USCC did so last year during the health care debate, the same groups, with help from ACORN and SEIU, attacked the donors themselves with pickets and protests.

The United States Chamber of Commerce has been at odds with the Obama administration before concerning health care, as well as the White House’s other major agenda items like Cap-N-Trade and Card-Check. This is part of the Obama anti-business policy designed to aid in the destruction of America’s free market Capitalism and replace it with Socialism.

This is sort of like the pot calling the kettle black, as much of the money obtained by the Obama 2008 presidential campaign came from undisclosed sources. Over $400 million dollars worth of donations came from groups that are not obligated to reveal their donors to the public. Another $300+ million was received via the Internet from largely unknown sources.

For the Obama White House to accuse the Chamber of Commerce of using foreign donations to aid Republicans is indicative of the new low in Democrat politics. David Axelrod and others making such charges against the United States Chamber of Commerce are completely unfounded. Major media organs are discounting the allegations is completely untrue.
