You know how sometimes you can get so stuck in a situation you can’t get out of — a bad friendship, a bad marriage, a bad house, a bad job — that you become immune to it? I think there’s a psychological term for that. First you recognize the danger; then you start to react; then you realize you’re going to be in it for awhile — so you give up, or give in. The situation becomes bigger than you are for the time being and you become accustomed to it. Sort of like that boy, Shawn Hornbeck, who was kidknapped from his rural Missouri home and lived for years with his abductor without trying to escape. I can see how that would happen. The mind takes over and you become dull to the reality of the situation.

That seems to be where we are when it comes to having the first anti-American President ever to sit in the Oval Office.

I mean, really. Who can honestly wrap their brain around having a man like this in the White House? What kind of man organizes a rally for Democrats and hires a hip-hop artist as entertainment? One that sings these lyrics:

Im that nigga that you heard about thru word of mouth,
they prolly said i change the music in the dirty south,
now that the word is out,
the timing is perfect now,
to take all these hypicritical rumors and burn em down.
if you observe the doubt you would see what they worried bout,
they say i sound like dre when im rappin bout virgins now,
honestly, i could give a fuck wut you blurtin out.
point blank, im in the game..rockin my jerseys now.
so just accept me or dont pay me no mind,
either way you gonna be hearin me all the time,
wether on greg street, or 107.9,
or on yo favorite rap blog, on yo rap website,
and if that aint right, then show me straight to the judge.
just like bryan nichols i aint spittin, nuthin but slugs,
venomous blood in my vains,
chemicals up in my brain,
yes i resemble a criminal,
B.o. Bizzle, you aint fuckin wit mane!

What kind of man ignores his own base or does what he wants despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of the American people don’t want what he wants? What kind of man trashes the biggest network on television and praises the left-wing cable channel fewer Americans watch? None of it makes sense — not to people on the right, middle, OR the left. That’s why Dinesh D’Souza’s book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage, is a must-read for anyone who’s open-minded enough to want to learn just who exactly is running this country right now.

It’ll take courage to read it. And if you’re not a big reader, you can read the cover story of Forbes; it’s a shortened version of the book. (But to get the full scope, you really have to read the book.) D’Souza has provided the best explanation to date for who this unknown man we voted into office really is.

It is, of course, hard to be objective at this point — we’ve become immune to the man in the White House. Democrats will defend him till the end, just as hard-core Republicans would do if their man were in office. But at some point, we have to step back and look at what we’ve done. Sometimes it takes years to see just how big our mistake really was — when you’re in it, it’s hard to see. We put up psychological roadblocks just so we can get through the day without going mad.

At his rally, Obama did what he does best: talk. He said,

“People are frustrated, their anxious, they’re scared about the future. And they have a right to be impatient about the pace of change. I’m impatient,” President Obama said at an event for Gen44. “It took time to free the slaves,” he added.

Barack Obama is on a mission, and his mission has nothing to do with you — it’s about himself. Obama wants to free Americans from themselves, for Americans are slaves to their own way of life; they just don’t know any better. Barack Obama is entirely different from any other president who ever lived. If you’ve found yourself scratching your head in awe, buy D’Souza’s book. You’ll be that much closer to figuring the man out.
