Here are the latest Senate polls in the three way race between Republican candidate Joe Miller, Lisa Murkowski who recently transformed into an independent candidate, and Democrat contender Scott McAdams. The Murkowski write-in campaign has worried Republican pundits but so far Joe Miller is holding up extremely well in three way polls in the Alaska senate race.

Election Desk Discussion (Alaska Winner Projection, Latest News, Exit polls, etc.)
Right Pundits is calling the state “leans Republican” based on the prevailing anti-incumbent and anti-Democrat winds in the country, and the state of affairs in the state of Alaska. That prognosis may change if Murkowski’s write-in candidacy gains steam but there is little evidence that it will.
What is clear is that she has no chance of winning. Write-in campaigns never do. Worst case for the GOP is she will siphon just enough votes from Joe Miller that Scott McAdams will limp across the finish line in the general election.
But we do not expect that to happen as the latest polls confirm. More on those below with blog reactions found here and here and here.
The history of the Alaska race is that Tea Party candidate Joe Miller stormed out of nowhere, benefiting from a decisive Sarah Palin endorsement and anti-incumbent mood. GOP incumbent Lisa Murkowski was caught asleep at the wheel, leaving gobs of campaign cash unspent. On election day she was clearly bitter and surprised by the results.
The voters spoke but rather than move on she is staging a hopeless write-in campaign which has no chance of keeping her in power and it is ruining any chance of a political comeback in future years when the voters will once again value experience in office. She will live to regret her actions this year.
But standing to benefit is Scott McAdams who was once considered the sacrificial lamb from the Democrats.
Now on to the AK polls themselves which will be updated frequently.

Stacy, you’ve left out two or three polls that were released this week. I know two of them were conducted by candidates, and perhaps that might reduce their credibility to you…and I’m on the fence about that, myself…but what about the Dittman poll? And since polling in Alaska is difficult, at best, I just don’t see why not use all the polls, as all of them are likely problematic in some way. Plus, you’re basically leaving out any polls from the last two weeks out of your average, and in political campaigns, two weeks is a lifetime.
Anyway, I’m betting McAdams makes a surprise win. He’s really showing himself to be an even-handed, steady candidate who is very quick on his feet.

This race is going to be oh so interesting.
Since an Alaskan Supreme Court judge appointed by Murkowski’s father decided to undermine the Alaskan election laws and allow lists of write-in candidates to be handed out at polling places, over one hundred people have registered as write-ins for the Senatorial election.
This strategy was promoted by a local conservative talk show host who was promptly pulled off the air.
My only hope is that some of the new write-ins go by the names; Lisa McClosky, Lisa McCurry, or Lisa Mazlowski.
Lisa Murkowsky is a good example of why entrenched encumbents need to go.

be careful what you ask for. he doesn’t seem to have much tolerance for others who get in his way.

I actually HAVE inside information on some of the major contributors to Karl Rove’s American Crossroads. I have information as to how much they donated, and more importantly WHY they donated and how at least one candidate was willing to sell her vote on a major issue to secure funding from American Crossroads….view for yourself and you tell me.

Just for your information, it is noted in some other sources for the Sore Loser Law, that one does not have the count the votes of a Write-In Candidate. In other words, Lisa’s votes don’t have to count according to the Sore Loser Law, since she lost in the Primary Election, and the Loser Law is effective in 48 states. Alaska included. Check it out.

With CBS affiliate KTVA getting caught plotting a smear and Lisa Murcowski’s strong armed tactics against a conservative talk radio host, Joe Miller may as well go hunting or fishing and let his opponents drive the polls.
