New York gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo is mad and he isn’t going to take it anymore. Republican Carl Paladino has been questioning the “manhood” of Cuomo so what’s a guy to do? Hey I know, how about call him an a*#hole; that always seems to work. The New York governor’s race is heating up and turning ugly.

The New York Daily News reports that Cuomo is beside himself, he doesn’t really know how to respond to attacks by Paladino that he has no cojones. In a meeting with aides Cuomo reportedly said this, “If a guy says you have no cojones, how do you punch him back, call him an a*#hole?” Sure, why not?

I wrote earlier about the unique Republican candidate running for governor in New York. For a while now it has seemed that Cuomo would face little serious opposition for the top spot in Albany. Now it appears that even running for governor in New York is not a sure bet for democrats this year. A new poll has Andrew Cuomo only leading Carl Paladino by 6 points.

This is probably due to a combination of things. One, Paladino has been on the attack lately, trying to bring attention to corruption within state government in New York over the past several years. He’s also been hammering Andrew Cuomo as just the latest in a long line of corruptible politicians seeking the office.

Honestly I don’t think the New York governor’s race is as close as Quinnipiac puts it. Rasmussen has a wider gap that seems to be more accurate, but of course in this political climate you just never know. My advice still stands though, if a guy says you have no cojones, call him an a*#hole.
