First Lady Michelle Obama made her very first trip to the Gulf Coast since the start of the BP oil spill on April 20th. On Tuesday, she spent a grand total of three hours in Panama City, Florida. After a quick photo-op at the beach, Mrs. Obama made a statement to the press, then bought herself some ice cream.
Michelle Obama told the press that people should not be afraid to vacation in the Gulf region. She said that there are still many beaches free of contamination from oil. Oddly enough, the Obama family will be taking yet another vacation, their fourth since the BP oil spill began, in Maine, about as far from the oil spill as possible.
Later in her lengthy three hour tour, Mrs Howell, I mean Mrs. Obama, stopped by the Pink Pelican and bought a Chocolate Hurricane. This dessert treat was a dish of chocolate ice cream. No mention of how many calories and fat were in the dessert.
This was the first trip to the Gulf region for Michelle Obama since the BP oil spill began. When her husband made his first visit, Michelle was in Malibu, California, staying at a millionaire investor’s beach front mansion. There were no reports of her ice cream choices there.

Her husband at “kringle” (cake) on his last visit to the Gulf.
I say “let them eat fish”, wash it down with a large drink of water, followed by a nice long swim on the beaches of Grand Isle, then Fourchon, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana.
He husband has refused help, from 30 other countries, 12 of them with vessels that filter the oil and return clean water to the Gulf. The aid was offered free, vessels were on standby, waiting for Barack’s approval, he refused
Obama would poison our own people, and he is just getting started.

What’s the thumbs up sign for that Michelle Obama is giving??? I’m sure that’s not the sign the fishermen, hotel owners, restaurant owners, oystermen, shrimpers,environmentalist wildlife are giving. Does Michelle Obama know about the oil disaster or is she oblivious as her husband. Maybe the thumbs up was for the ice cream. It seems as long as Obama and his family life is not affected he’s not to concerned for the American people.

She’s probably giving the ‘thumbs up’ because she’s happy she’s only spending three hours there and will soon be back home to feast on her Kobi steaks.

jayare – I was thinking her dress looked like it had oil splotches on it. I wondered why she’d choose that to wear to the Gulf and give a thumbs up about the disaster there.

Beck was talking also today about her outfit. I didn’t know he joined the fashion police. His beef was it was some high-price designer wear, kind of like when Mr. O was walking the beach in his GQ dress slacks, dress shoes and dress shirt. It always seems we go back to his geekiness.
Personally, I’m more amused by her dessert selection. Just the day before she’s railing against kids eating sugary desserts, then she goes off and has a really decadent chocolate coma-type dish. It’s just typical of the hypocrisy of the Left-Wing Elitists.
