The ironic thing about life is that sometimes it’s full of irony. Just ask Benedict Garrett, he’s a 30 year old sex education teacher who moonlights as, well, a porn star. It doesn’t get any more ironic than that. Garrett was the head of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education at Beal High in Ilford, Essex.

Some of his students had already figured out that Mr. Garrett was doing more than teaching them the finer points of the human anatomy. They stumbled on a website which featured Garrett in his role as “Johnny Anglais”, a male stripper. It would only progress from there.

While Benedict Garrett was in school earning his teaching credentials, he began starring in porn movies making about 300 pounds per scene. He loved the easy money of sex on camera with beautiful women. He promised himself that once he became a teacher, he’d leave the easy money behind. Not so fast.

After he became the head of the department at Beal High School, he resumed his stripping career on the weekends and decided on doing another porn film. Once he was outed as “Johnny Anglais” he was suspended from his job.

Not only did Benedict Garrett teach sex education, his pornographic performances were often without protection. A major conflict of interest, wouldn’t you say? Teaching students the value of safe sex while getting paid to have “unsafe” sex; it’s okay though, Garrett says that the chances of him contracting a disease while working with other porn stars was slim.
