The political terrorists in congress, on marching orders that came directly from the leaders of the Democrat Party, have agreed on a piece of legislation that requires the first round of troops in Iraq to be withdrawn by October 1st, and that all US soldiers be out of Iraq within 6 months.

House and Senate puppets met this afternoon and apparently ratified the details of this outrageous legislation. Even though a few Republicans did muster up enough courage to voice the slightest bit of opposition, they made no serious attempts to show how much they disagree with this atrocious piece of legislative garbage.

Naturally some of the mouthpieces for the Republican Party will have said, and will continue to say that their lack of opposition to this bill is because they want it to quickly work its way to the Presidents desk so he can veto it, but I’m not so sure about that anymore. If that were the case, I’m sure they would make more of an effort to reassure guys like me that they have things under control.

To make matters worse, the dollar figure in the proposed bill amounts to $124.2 billion, $90 Billion of which is to be used for military expenditures in Iraq and Afghanistan. The other $34.2 billion, well it’s all going to fund pork barrel projects. It seems that not even Pelosi and Reid’s cronies were willing to support such an asinine bill unless they got a sizable chunk-O-cash to pacify the folks back home.

Pelosi, Reid, and all of America for that matter, know that this spending bill is nothing more than an assault on the Bush administration. They call it a “symbolic actâ€? designed to persuade the President to set a so called “new course” in the war on terror, but there is nothing symbolic about it. In fact this little game that the liberals are playing is killing real people.

Instead of sending a message to the administration, the Democrats (and their Republican accomplices) are sending a message to the militants and terrorists, not only in Afghanistan and Iraq, but worldwide. The message reads as follows:

Dear anti-American jihadists and Islamic fundamentalist nuts,

Hang in there just a few more months boys. The Democrat Party is working to the best of our ability to break the back of the Bush war machine. We will continue to push meaningless legislation through congress until the money needed to fund Bush’s troops is all gone. Without funding, the President will be left with no other choice than to immediately withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan.

You guys are doing a fine job on your end too, and thanks for the latest series of car bombings. We can never have enough carnage to reference when we make our appeals to the American people. It seems they are suckers when it comes to the realities of war. If only I had a soft side from which I could muster up some crocodile tears, well, that would be political gold.
