Long a friend of Bill Clinton, and serving as his VP for eight years, will we see former Vice President Al Gore attending Chelsea’s wedding? Their family spokesman says ‘no.’ The latest announcement comes as the former VP’s marriage is crumbling, and an investigation into his alleged sexual of a masseuse is reopened. The snub is a complete turnaround to the couple’s statements earlier this year, where they were said to be “looking forward” to the young Clinton’s marriage. Some say it may not have been a snub at all, as no one has confirmed they were even invited.
“The word is if you don’t know Chelsea personally, you’re off the list,” said New York magazine editor Doree Shafrir. Still, it’s hard to imagine the former VP wouldn’t get an invite. Answering reporters’ questions about Al Gore attending Chelsea’s wedding, a family spokesman said to the press:
“The Gores are not attending the wedding. They both wish Chelsea well, believe she is a wonderful young woman, and they share in the family’s excitement.”
Al isn’t the only one under fire due to the marriage though; her dad Bill says he’s under strict orders to shape up for the ceremony. Talking to the press earlier this year, the former President described a conversation he had with his daughter regarding his weight.
“She told me the other day, she said, ‘Dad the only thing you gotta do is walk me down the aisle and you need to look good.’ So I said ‘Well, what’s your definition?’ And she said: ‘Oh, about 15 pounds.’ So I’m halfway home.”
While a month with Jenny Craig will solve Bill’s problems, Al may need a little more help. Portland police told the press Tuesday that inconsistencies in their investigation of a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a masseuse hired by the former VP to massage him in his hotel room call for the case to be reopened.
“In reviewing this case, we have determined there were procedural issues with the 2009 investigation that merit re-opening the case. There should have been command level review at the time on the specifics of this case and decisions on whether the investigation should go forward.”
By no means does this indicate any of the results will change, but the bad press couldn’t come at a worse time for the former VP. Oh you guys so now want to wreak Gores credibility on global warming by attacking his morality and character. Its a rather vicious campaign too. You went after Obama’s very credibility with the birther thing. just pathetic. Gore maintains what the masseuse says sdidn’t happen anyways so why should I belive a tabloid over him? Its not unusual for men traveling around to hire a room masseuse, and occasionally for more than just a straight massage. It wouldn’t be earth shaking really. It does amaze me how much Americans get off in the fall of public officials by anymeans possible. Not a healthy trait. In europe many a governmental official plays the field with wife still in tow. Its gross but tolerated, but they aren’t held to as high a puritanical standard as here. I don’t think the Clintons and Gores were ever that close really. I think Gore should get on a fitness kick though as these proto but iffy scandalous headlines next to puffed up photos don’t help his case.

Gore LIED about the reason of his divorce, “Brian”- and the massuese has pix, stains, etc- maybe you should wait for the investigation’s results, eh?

I say its karma remember when Al snubbed Bill and didnt want him to help with his campaign due to the Monica stuff well looky now Al is in troouble in alot of ways and most likely was not invited to the wedding to begin with

Al Gore is like a lot of men…have to have more than one woman even if it brakes up a marriage. As for solar a wind energy, they need to look at some of the European countries, like Belgium, Luxembourg, or Germany to mention a few. They work well on both. I don’t know why we could not do the same? It is all about politics, we need to fire the whole government. And as far as Chelsea’s look, she is a beautiful girl and those who make these ugly comments about her, have you looked yourself in the mirror lately. Outer beauty is not everything, if your inner beauty is uglier than sin….so stop talking like that.

Who cares? I had enough people butting into my wedding and I’m just an author! Everybody wanted to tell me who to invite and what designer to wear, etc. It was MY wedding and my husband and I did it the way we wanted to and haven’t regretted it.
Hollywood and political weddings are even worse. I think if it’s true that Chelsea is in charge of the guest list then good for her! Her wedding needs to be a celebration of her and her husband’s union and not a Washington D.C. political event.

Global warming is not politics. It is science. This is not the first time in history than man has attempted to politicize nature. You cannot politicize nature. Nature does what nature will do. Nature does not care about the concerns of man.
This is pretty much what Al Gore’s message was.
History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of men. You can deny what’s happening in the world all you want, call it a hoax, smear people, say it is a fraud, claim that it’s not really happening, say it is happening for some other reason, find a bunch of emails and claim they show the whole thing is a put on, but none of that is going to change anything.
And in this, there is some comfort. We can get blue in the face trying to argue with your folly, but the highest authority is above all of us, and has no need to deal with you, because you cannot change it. We can only wait, and see.

Al Gore needs to move to the planet Mars. He is so completely out of touch with reality on this world, maybe he would have better luck on a planet with life forms yet to be discovered. It is obvious he does not like the Clinton’s and that is politics, Chelsea could care less about having a divorce man at her wedding! Al doesn’t look well. Maybe the toxic and inhospitable Martian climate would do him some good. It is worth a try!
