MSM has spent more time covering the Don Imus controversy than reporting news about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iranian nukes and other trifling matters.
So, we know the I-Man got fired for mumbling “nappy headed hoz” after being asked to comment about the Rutgers University women’s basketball team.
Last night, with Imus in mind, OSAPian watched episode 12 of HBO’s P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy.
In 29 minutes four Black comedians used the word “nigger” 57 times.
African-American women were referred to as “bitches” almost as frequently as the funny men used the N-word.
Reality is optional …

Ridiculous double-standard. I guess there are two arguments. The “using the public airwaves for hate speech” argument goes out the window when it comes to HBO. Still, they are a corporation and if we want corporations to promote political correctness, that is the parallel with Imus. I don’t want that, however. Let entertainers say what they want, turn it off if we don’t like it, and everyone stop being so freaking sensitive.

It’s all George Washington’s fault anyhow.

Your argument makes sense as long as you discount the fact that the white men have traditionally had power in the country and black men haven’t. That’s a part of reality that appears “optional” in the argument that Don Imus saying it is the same as black people saying it. I don’t think it’s good for black comedians to use the word so much. I think it’s backwards. But it means something else when a white man says it. Don’t you agree?

Umm, what does it mean when a Chinese or Mexican says it? Charlie Baker, your politically correct moral relativism seems like a sorry excuse to me.
