Growing debts have finally come calling for 54 year old Mel Gibson. Unpaid bills from Ramage Construction Company have turned into a lawsuit against “The Passion of the Christ” director in the amount of $6,631.06. The Ramage owner, however, has told the press that he will be filing follow-up suits for compensation in the amount of $200,000. Check out the full story, with pictures and video below!

Enlisting Ramage for a number of projects over the last 20 years including additions to his home, building of a second home, and the construction of his mega-church, the company claims a large sum remains unsettled. The “Braveheart” actor hasn’t commented on the law suit.

Mel Gibson, unpaid bills aside, reportedly has plans to buy a new home in Italy. While filming in the country he is said to have ‘fell in love’ with the region and wants to buy a 600-year-old castle in the region.

Mayor of the small town where the castle is located has said the location is perfect for the Hollywood star.

“It’s a building from the 1500s with Spanish architecture because it was built following the marriage of the Spanish Mendoza and noble woman Lucrezia della Valle, who came from the town.”

That may be, but no one knows if he has the capital to pay for the new home as well as settle up with his construction company.

The 54-year-old, who recently filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, may have a trick or two up his sleeve though. Rick Collingwood, manager of Australia’s biggest hypnotism school recently spent over a week at the actor’s home in California, teaching him the art of hypnotism.

“Mel’s a natural. He’s got the look and the patter – as well as piercing blue eyes. He’s going to be a great hypnotist,” said Rick. “Mel’s brother Chris has been into NLP, neuro-linguistic programming, and hypnotism for a long time and he talked to Mel about it over the phone and Mel got interested, too. I was heading out to Los Angeles for work so Mel invited me over. I was with him for 10 days teaching him the technique. He is very, very interested in it. He didn’t say he wanted to learn it for a specific reason. He was just curious. I think he’s just interested in the mind and human nature.”

Who knows, maybe he’ll hypnotize his way out of the bill? What do you think of the suit against Mel Gibson? Unpaid bills catch up to everyone. If’s he’s planning on buying a castle in Italy he should have enough to settle a $200,000 debt. Does he have enough to do both? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section!
