To nobody’s surprise, the rigged case against three Duke Lacrosse players is finally getting dropped. Hopefully Mike Nifong will now pay the right price for his cruel power trip. We have called for his disbarment, and repeat it today. Mike Nifong will go down in history as a textbook case of how naked power often corrupts those in office.

The office of North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper will announce that he is dismissing all charges against three Duke Lacrosse players, ABC News has learned from sources close to the case.
On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the Attorney General confirmed to ABC News that his office had completed its investigation into the Duke lacrosse case. A press conference on the outcome of their inquiry is widely expected sometime this week, though members of that office have not yet revealed a date and time.
So the obvious has finally happened. But how much financial cost and emotional duress was inflicted upon these young men needlessly by a renegade DA? And will Mike Nifong be held accountable by the State Bar, which is considering disciplinary action now?

Ok Al Sharpton and Jess Jackson, when exactly are you going to issue an apology? How about Duke President, I can’t hear your apology. And for Mr Nifong, don’t bother. We’ve heard enough out of you. This case was nothing more than nifong’s effort to play to mob mentality go get himself re-elected. Now I have to wonder what about all the other cases this prick handled? How many innocent people are locked up. The accuser should be prosecuted, the DA should be prosecuted, Duke University should be sued and everyone in Durham should hang their heads in shame about what has happened.
