Thousands are expected to attend the Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin rally in Minneapolis tomorrow; the event is also doubling as a fundraiser for Bachmann’s re-election bid and for the state GOP. A couple questions come to mind when I think about Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin in the same city occupying the same stage. One, is there enough duct tape in the entire state of Minnesota to keep liberal brains from simultaneously exploding? I’ll get to the second question in a bit.

The rally starts at 2 p.m. local time and costs you nothing. Although it’s doubtful you’d be able to garner a spot if you don’t have one already. The GOP handed out 10,000 tickets and they have no more to give. Radio host Sean Hannity will be there as well as Governor Tim Pawlenty, a possible GOP candidate for President.

But most will be there to see the Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin duo. Both are strong, conservative women who have turned the political world on its head in the last couple of years. Bachmann and Palin have both served as democratic lightning rods in the last several months for being outspoken advocates of conservatism and anti-big government.

The lefty blogs and media outlets are already taking shots at the Bachmann Palin rally even before the first speech is given. Huffpo is criticizing the fact that you can pay $10,000 for a private reception and have your picture taken with Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin. Wonkette, well I’d like to keep the dialogue at least on the PG-13 level if possible, so I won’t tell you what they’re saying over there. Of course the always photogenic Rachel Maddow at MSNBC mocks the Bachmann Palin photo op by telling you how to save $10,000.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the DFL and the AFL-CIO have scheduled counter rallies to try and steal a little thunder from the Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin rally in Minneapolis. Oh, the second question? Who’s hotter? Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin.
