Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is a Truther. Wow. Shocker, there, huh?

In remarks reported by IRNA, an official Iranian news agency, and translated by Reuters, Mr. Ahmadinejad said, “The September 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan.” Mr. Ahmadinejad also reportedly described the attacks in New York as a “complicated intelligence scenario and act.” Conspiracy theorists in the Middle East have suggested that the attacks were not the work of Al Qaeda, but carried out by Israeli or American intelligence operatives.

I wonder if he will call the Glenn Beck radio show and have Glenn out him, like he did with Debra Medina.

In a brilliantly biting posting by Left Coast Rebel, it is written:

Perhaps we should convene a ’summit’ on this news. Perhaps we should get the despot-pool of the (un)United Nations together to talk this out (and invite Ahmadinejad, Qaddafi and other stars) so that we can get to the bottom of this. Or perhaps this just simply points to the fact that Ahmadinejad is a closet, Tea Partying, Libertarian-leaning, conservative activist?

Ahmadinejad, 911 Truther. Who would have thought? Color me shocked. Of course it is all the fault of Bush and Israel, duh! Even in Iran, kool aid is a popular drink.
