A Federal Lawsuit has been dismissed against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaios office; what’s the complaint? Forcing inmates to listen to Christmas music; all day every day; an inmate brought the suit saying that by being forced to listen to the Christmas music, his religious and civil rights were being violated. Yeah, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is a massive violation of civil rights.
Joe Arpaio is a huge target of the left-wing establishment for his stance on illegal immigration; he actually arrests them and tries to have them deported, what a monster! But it seems the so called “toughest sheriff” in America has an affinity for Christmas music. I mean who doesn’t this time of year? Oh I forgot, the ACLU is a regular grinch.
I think inmates being forced to listen to Christmas music is a great idea, especially for the Gitmo detainees, or should I say the soon to be Illinois detainees. Lock them in their cells and blast “Frosty The Snowman” over and over. It’ll have a different effect in Illinois with about a foot of snow on the ground.
A statement put out by Arpaios office says that despite the failed attempts, inmates keep bringing frivolous lawsuits against the Sheriff’s office:
“We keep winning these lawsuits. Inmates should stop acting like the Grinch who stole Christmas and give up wasting the court’s time with such frivolous assertions,” it read. “But chances are they’ll keep suing and we’ll keep winning.”
Joe Arpaio is especially fond of “Rudolph and Alvin and the Chipmunks”. Now seriously, who would have a problem with Alvin and the Chipmunks? Some scumbag inmate being prompted by the ACLU or some other civil rights group trying to land big Joe as a trophy, that’s who.
Inmates under Sheriff Joes care have brought six lawsuits claiming civil rights violations or cruel and unusual punishment. Anybody else feel like screaming when you hear the phrase cruel and unusual punishment? For being forced to listen to Christmas music? Get real.

I like the sheriff, but as a parent of two who like to listen to Alvin and the chipmunks I feel for the inmates. Alvin is in the same category as Elmo for me – they make noises that kids love and but may be overwhelming to me. I love Christmas songs – Santa, Baby! – they are on my car-radio this month. But if I have to use a sound for KSM cell – I would choose Alvin and the chipmunks.

Good for Sheriff Joe! If you don’t want to listen to some Alvin and the Chipmunks how about not choosing to commit crimes that will get you locked up. Life’s sure rough some times.

I agree, Ryan. Happy to be free.

The former New Yorker is also proud to boast he only spends $1.70 a day, or is it meal, per inmate? proud mind you. he is running tent camps in the desert heat of 120 degrees. all good and fine till your the one thrown in there on some new law you weren’t expecting to be hit by. I am not so sure tormenting inmates is anything less than sadistic. For those of you who envy the saudi ways, go move over there. But I prefer an America with some dignity left as clearly our general population is the very same one that runs over little children’s heads in appliance stores to get the latest gadgets on sale. These are the same people supporting people like sherrif joe.
