We’ve stayed away from the Tiger Woods scandal for the most part; so I say why not jump in the fray? Unflattering text messages sent by Tiger to his mistresses are starting to surface that show a man who clearly had issues with control, despite being….well Tiger Woods. Also is it possible we could see Tiger Woods Playgirl pictures soon as well? Blaaach!
Despite the fact that Tiger Woods could have had just about any woman he wanted (except for most self-respecting women), text messages from Tiger to Rachel Uchitel and Jamie Grubbs show a fairly insecure guy when it came to his love life surprisingly. One text as reported by the New York Daily news asked the question of Grubbs, “Who’s your new boy toy?” Is it possible that Tiger was jealous of a complete nobody?
Tiger Woods, although married to every man’s dream, a Swedish swimsuit model, pined away for his mistresses; perhaps stringing them along? The whole sordid mess is simply disgusting in so many ways. First the thought of Elin Nordegren being completely clueless about Tiger’s unbelievable appetite for companionship shall we say. And then he discloses to one mistress that he’s finally found someone he connects with. What a jackass.
Now reports are surfacing that says Tiger Woods Playgirl pictures could be in our future. Gee, I hope they come in time for Christmas. Could you imagine, Playgirl does what no one on the PGA Tour can do, reduce Tiger Woods to the same level as Levi Johnston. How sad. What a tangled web we weave.
Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time, not a lot of debate there. But Tiger transcends golf, he is an entity unto himself. He’s a walking corporation worth countless millions of dollars. That is up until the shocking revelations began to come to light after a simple car accident in Florida.
Sponsors will begin to drop the superstar and give a politically correct answer as to why. Some kids have lost their hero; some adults have lost their hero for that matter. On the flip side, Tiger’s picked up a completely new fan base. That of men who dream of marrying a Swedish swimsuit model and then cheating on her with a harem of cocktail waitresses spread out all over the country. Yeah, there’s a niche for that.
The Tiger Woods text messages will reveal more of the man’s mind than we probably ever wanted to know. The Tiger Woods Playgirl pictures may reveal even more than that. He’ll probably recover from the affairs and the text messages and all of the deception, simply for this fact; people make a whole bunch of money off of the corporation known as Tiger Woods. But despite that, a family is still wrecked.

How much more of his SEED has he spread around? He is soooooo GHETTO. You’ve heard the joke about “fathers day in the projects”??? Tiger is that father. Why didn’t he just stay single? This was no mistake nor a transgression….This is a pattern of behavior. Can he come back, will he come back? I don’t care, he doesn’t affect me or my family one bit! For all you sports groupies out there, get a life…Tiger doesn’t give a hoot about you anyway.

Tiger played 72 holes last weekend, and there wasn’t even a tournament!!!

I couldn’t care less about Tiger’s sex life, and I can’t begin to understand why everyone is so captivated by this. Ok, he cheated on his wife, just like about half of all married people do at some point in their marriage. Big deal.
What I find amusing is all these people criticizing Tiger because he said in a statement that this was a private matter. They point out that he’s made so much money in “public” that he’s somehow forfeited his right to privacy. This is complete lunacy. These sad, soap-opera-watching celebrity obsessives think they have some “right” to know what Tiger does for fun on his time off. They don’t have a right to anything besides their own pathetic lives. Let the man sort out his family problems in peace.
December 10th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
That’s very magnanimous of you Rhayader.
However, Tiger Woods has also embarrassed his supermodel wife and his children by being a total scumbag. He’s also duped everyone into believing that he was a trustworthy and reputable guy.
Cheating on ones mate is about the lowest thing anyone can do. I hope the comedians and talking heads tear him to shreds.
December 10th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
I fully agree with the argument that his wife and his kids have been hurt by his actions, and certainly deserve to get answers from him. I’m not defending his actions.
But all this crap about him “duping” the public or whatever? Give me a break. He’s a golfer, not an elected official; he doesn’t owe you or me or any other Joe Schmoe anything at all. He has wronged his family, not the public. We think we have some “right” to force these people to be accountable to us, which is complete and total BS.
He has the right to live his life and pursue his career, and we have the right to support him or not as a golfer. Beyond that, it’s none of our business.

Then why do they sign product endorsement contracts with morals clauses???
December 10th, 2009 at 1:31 pm
Then why do they sign product endorsement contracts with morals clauses???
Because the companies that issue those contracts want him to uphold a certain public image. If that image is tarnished, that’s a contractual issue between company and employer. It doesn’t give the general public some “right” to know the details of Tiger’s private life.
He didn’t sign a morals clause with the general public. If his employer is upset with him, then there are ample legal avenues to address that.
December 10th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Rhayader, in principle, I agree with you. It’s none of our business. However, celebrities in this day and age know exactly what they are getting into. When Tiger signs a multi-gazillion dollar endorsement deal and appears in 100000 ads a year, he knows he’s making his life an open book to the world. With fame and wealth, comes all the other stuff. He knew this all from day 1. So I don’t feel bad that his whole mess is now out in the public.
December 10th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Oh absolutely Ignatius, I agree. I don’t really feel all that “bad” for Tiger, now or ever. You’re right, he chose his path knowing exactly what external factors were involved.
So I’m not feeling sorry from Tiger; I’m just sick of all the little whiny brats who keep saying they’re owed an explanation. They aren’t.
December 10th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
Well, the kids are suffering the most, whether this should be public or not. What a mess, a man with EVERYTHING really had nothing, can you think of anything worse than this? Oh yeah, obama is still our president…

well … i had higher expectations from tiger
December 11th, 2009 at 5:42 am
Tiger did build himself up as being moral and of good character when he himself on his foundation’s website states his goal is to promote the values he learned from family and at school-and I quote- “Integrity, Honesty, Discipline, Responsibility, and Fun”. I think he got “fun” down, but the others… It is vile to be sexually active with other women while your children are being conceived and in utero. What does the founding father of values for the community say to his children? Does he owe them an explanation? Tiger is not a victim, his lovers are not victims- his wife who treated him with respect and trust and his own children who trust him for their well being- emotionally and physically are victims. It is a sad situation. If Tiger wants privacy- do not text and leave voice mails. Maybe he likes privacy so he can live in 2 different worlds and not let the real Tiger be revealed. If Tiger wants to use his status to build foundations for youth- then behave in a manner consistent with your own mission statement. It is the duplicity of it the whole situation that is so disturbing. It is not Tiger’s talent, money, or fame that got him into this predicament- it is his own failure to live up to the standards and image that he created- through his foundation, his community projects, his own words. It is a sad and devestating situation that hopefully can be overcome for Tiger’s sake and his family. It would be a waste for a career and a family to be destroyed.

Good for you. Of course, Tiger has no clue who you are, and doesn’t owe you a thing.
December 11th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
i am pretty sure he has an obligation to be better than obama …
in a civil society that is
December 11th, 2009 at 3:06 pm
In this day and age, no one should be shocked or surprised by a sex scandal by a famous person. I expect nothing moral or good from anyone famous. Sadly, that’s the state of the world we live in.
If Obama gets caught cheating, that might surprise me just a tiny bit, but just a little, and then I’ll shrug my shoulders and say, “Another one…”
December 11th, 2009 at 4:30 pm
“Well, the kids are suffering the most,”
I’m beggining to hate it when people are so quick to take advantage of these situations so they can come out as saints for the kids.
Who knows that they are being hurt anymore than we knew what Tiger was doing with his dingaling 2 months ago ?
For all we know they could be loving the crap out of Sweden and be happieer than a pig in sht to get away from dad who from all appearances didnt have much time to spend with them anyway or having to listen to mom and dad fight back and forth.
I know from my experience that the day my folks divorced was one of the happiest days of my life
December 12th, 2009 at 5:01 am
Didn’t you wind up in prison and with a serious drug habit?
December 12th, 2009 at 8:19 am
Micky,
Not that I owe you or anyone else an explanation, but I’m not trying to be a “saint”. If you are suggesting that I am you are WRONG! I just sympathize with the kids if there’s any grief. And I remember when my folks divorced it was the saddest day of my life(contrary to yours), although the new place I ended up in happened to be my favorite providing me with the happiest moments in my life, just like you mention Tiger’s kids possibly loving Sweden, but I always missed my parents being together.
So I guess what i’m trying to say is just because you end up in a happier place as a result of your parents having a divorce, it doesn’t necessarily mean you are content with the fact that your parents didn’t have a successful marriage. One can have nothing to do with the other.
December 12th, 2009 at 8:22 am
And also Micky, if you were directing #16 at me, what advantage is it for me to come out as a “saint”? How do I benefit from that even if I was trying to be a “saint”?

[...] Tiger Woods was still a model citizen when Golf Digest magazine printed their January 2010 edition. The cover teams up Barack Obama in golf attire and the greatest golfer of all time standing behind the President. Both were photo-shopped together. The headline: “10 Tips Obama Can Take from Tiger” brings gasps of horror among President’s supporters now that Tiger Woods had said goodbye to the golf indefinitely in the wake of his infidelity scandal. [...]

seriously though enough with the quotation mark they don’t even fit with what your saying just making you all look stupid
December 13th, 2009 at 8:30 am
jj the jet pilot above discust me!…What has Tiger’s infedelity has to do with the GHETTO. People in surbubia where I live cheat on their wives day in and day out, and may even be more prevalent in the surbubs than in the GHETTO.
Tiger wooods is celebrated because he is the best golfer that ever lived period. He is not celebrated because he married a “super model” as some in this space have suggested. I don’t give a crap about Tiger’s personal live, he can cheat on his wife if he wants, thats is something he will have to deal with. That will not stop me from wishing, and hoping to play like him on the gof course, and I will be the first to buy a ticket to see him play again when and if he decides to do so.
By the way, why is there no outrage about all those sluts who accepted Tiger or lust after him KNOWING FULL WELL THAT HE IS MARRIED. The selective ourage and hypocrisy is something the right is so familair with. This is an American tragedy, its neither GHETTO or Surbabia!!

“So I guess what i’m trying to say is just because you end up in a happier place as a result of your parents having a divorce, it doesn’t necessarily mean you are content with the fact that your parents didn’t have a successful marriage. One can have nothing to do with the other.”
Sorry Ron, but you made it sound as if you knew exclusively what was going on.
You said that “they are”.
I was using you as an example to put a light on all the Nancy Graces out there who are so quick to bring up potential scenarios as a segway to convey what they wear on their sleeves in order to market themselves. I should of painted with a broader brush.
But to explain a little further that doesnt always mean that the kids are in a worse place as I said I’m getting tired of hearing everyone assume right off the bat.
As needy children at that emotional level its expected for us to be selfish and want our parents to remain together, regardless of what we see. But in my case after watching them tear each other and everyone around them apart for 18 years (legally being seperated from them at 16 going to college and living alone) my wish finally came thru. After one day watching them play tug o war (physically) with my 12 year old sister I issued the warning that if they didnt break up they would never see me again. Everyone was better off for it and til today 30 years later everyone thanks me for my insight and efforts.
Dont take it too personally man, you just happened to be the one that brought up memories of those like Nanacy Pelosi etc that are all too quick to march the kids out in front of us whenever they need something done.
MONKEY:
“Didn’t you wind up in prison and with a serious drug habit?”
Exactly my point Monkey.
I’m willing to bet that if my parents had stopped the insanity long ago things may of faired better for myself. But I got off the “blame mommy and daddy” wagon a long time ago and realized my biggest problem was that I just liked to get really fckn high. Almost every addict and alcoholic that I work with today has a family history of dysfunctionalism or violence.
SAM:
“By the way, why is there no outrage about all those sluts who accepted Tiger or lust after him KNOWING FULL WELL THAT HE IS MARRIED. The selective ourage and hypocrisy is something the right is so familair with. This is an American tragedy, its neither GHETTO or Surbabia!!”
Sam, you freaking moronic hypocrite, do you ever read what you write before you hit submit ? Too much Obama on the brain ?
You talk about selective outrage and then in the same breath selectively go after the right when its everyone who is tuning in to watch this crap which is being produced by an industry run by liberals. Try changing the channel once in a while. These broads are getting plenty of heat but you’re sure as hell not going to find it coming out of the liberal yaps that thrive on the destruction of family.
And by the way, where the hell is “Surbabia” ?

I figured that Micky, no biggie, I know what you mean…
