President Barack Obama’s Copenhagen summit decision has changed a bit. Instead of attending the climate summit in the middle, he plans to be there at the end, sending signals to the rest of the world that he’ll be there to push forward some sort of Climate treaty with developing nations.
Originally Obama had said that he would only attend the Copenhagen Climate Summit on December 9th on his way to Sweden to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, it appears that Obama, who many feel is crucial to a global climate treaty, will be there at the end with other heads of state at the critical time of the summit.
Obama has already vowed that the U.S. will cut emissions by 17% below 2005 levels by 2020. Following in his steps, other nations set goals of carbon emission cuts as well including China. There has been much speculation about what joining a climate treaty in Copenhagen would mean for the sovereignty of the United States.
Obama’s Copenhagen summit plan changes have everything to do with the current climategate scandal that is rocking the foundation of the global warming movement. It’s imperative that Obama and the other socialist types hammer home a deal before the climate scandal escalates further.
On a personal note, Obama has heard the criticism of his socialist buddies in Europe who feel that for a deal to be achieved that they can live with, meaning a deal in which the U.S. shoulders the majority of the cost, Obama needs to be there at the end. He always caves to public pressure. Here and abroad.
The original Obama Copenhagen summit plans left us with an ounce of hope that the United States might not get sucked into some world climate treaty that will end up costing us in dollars and possibly sovereignty. Now, with Obama changing his plans and going at the end, all bets are off.

Ya know, it would be nice if we just started approaching this from pollution standpoint instead of keeping up this man made global warming charade.
Of course I dont think we should foot the majority of the bill or lose any sovereignty but we could just focus on the basics of a clean planet without having to bullsht and fear monger the entire human race into the largest swindle ever.
If theres a concensus that we should help other nations develop commerce industry and trade and help them clean up the collateral environmental impact that comes with it then by all means lets do that. But lets stop trying to BS everyone with the doomsday scenarios already.
You’re scaring the crap out of our kids and bringing forth an agenda that destroys our most basic freedoms, destroying the capitalist free market.

Isn’t it possible for the next president ‘12 or Congress ‘10 simply void the treaty as unworkable and based on faulty science?
In the worst case scenario, Obama commits our nation to a ridiculous, economy-killing treaty. When we take the Congress in 2010, at least the House, what can we do? Anything while he’s in office? Or, do we have to wait until 2012.
Can anyone give an example of a multi-lateral treaty signed by a US president and then voided later? Contemporary example, that is.

And they are censoring info about what the IBO is teaching the kids in our schools…
From IBO’s new Geography syllabus which sets up criteria according to the radical left-wing agenda behind the political and redistributive goals of UN’s “Millenium Development” document:
“The IB Diploma Programme Geography syllabus was revamped to reflect the most pressing threats to the future of the planet and ways they can be addressed. The new syllabus, for which students will first sit exams in 2011, is designed to encompass the United Nations millenium development goals, particularly those concerning poverty reduction, gender equality, improvements in health and education and environmental sustainability. Students must evaluate progress towards UN goals and take a close look at major global issues…”

You make a great point – it is amazing to watch the agony of the global warming crowd. Obama can’t decide whether to throw them under the bus and do not attend – or take another hard blow on his already tarnished image by attending Nopenhagen. Hard choice and it has nothing to do with saving the Planet, but with saving his Pals Net.

“Climategate” is smoke and mirrors, an invention of the Right. A lie, really. Take a few emails, blow it up to be something it ain’t, etc., etc., right on time for Copenhagen. My mama did not raise a gullible fool.
The thing about Global Warming is, all we have to do is wait and see. All the BS in the world won’t change it. So in a strange, weird way, Rush Limbaugh is correct putting that ten-year countdown on this web site. As the years wind down, and the water gets higher, and the arctic disappears, let’s see if he takes it down. But oh! It’s the Sun doing it! So we OK.
What the hell does sovereignty have to do with it? Nothing, of course. More silliness from y’all.
May God have mercy on the world. May God have mercy upon you.

Klo.
The whole purpose of the global warming scam is to redistribute American wealth across the planet.
Yes, your mama did raise a gullible fool if you dont think money is the main driving force behind all this.
“The thing about Global Warming is, all we have to do is wait and see.”
Promises promises.
We’ve been waiting and seeing bro, so far all your predictions have failed and actually taken the opposite course. Day after day less and less people are beleving in or caring about climate change.
Yup, some of you are gullible fools being scared by the fear mongers whos E mails were intercepted and then theres the ones who are not so gullible and know exactly how to propell this scam, like the fear mongers whos E mails were intercepted.
“What the hell does sovereignty have to do with it? Nothing, of course. More silliness from y’all”
Day after day Americans are loosing their individualism, individual sovereignty. Where to live, what to eat, what kind of car to drive, what temp your thermostat must be at, taxations in the name of environmentalism and attacks on our private property are eating away at our ability to be individual citizens anymore and corraling us into a socialist society. It wont be long before the concept is applied world wide as we give american dollars to third world nations to help them become industrialized and clean up their carbon contributions. Once everyones money has been cast into the same pot its not long before they come along and want to make one set of rules for all countries participating in this sham of environmentalism and insist on one world currency.
If you cant see how environmentalism is being used as a medium to gather the masses into a communal and collective state then yup, you’re a gullible fool.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for a little project Obama and Biden have had on the back burner for a while thats really gotten little to no attention, all for good reasons.
This little gem (S 2433) is loaded with some pretty nasty crap including population control and even world wide personal arms elimination.
Check it out.

And heres some excerpts from Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media who was the first to bring awareness to this. Notice towards the bottom how “global warming” manages to work its way into this.
“A nice-sounding bill called the “Global Poverty Act,” sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.
Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has not endorsed either Senator Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton in the presidential race. But on Thursday, February 14, he is trying to rush Obama’s “Global Poverty Act” (S.2433) through his committee. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends. …
The bill defines the term “Millennium Development Goals” as the goals set out in the United Nations Millennium Declaration, General Assembly Resolution 55/2 (2000).
The U.N. says that “The commitment to provide 0.7% of gross national product (GNP) as official development assistance was first made 35 years ago in a General Assembly resolution, but it has been reaffirmed repeatedly over the years, including at the 2002 global Financing for Development conference in Monterrey, Mexico. However, in 2004, total aid from the industrialized countries totaled just $78.6 billion—or about 0.25% of their collective GNP.”
In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning “small arms and light weapons” and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It is Kindergarden science pure and simple and like most in Kindergarden, the scientists (using that term in the loosest sense possible) just make up numbers as they go along.
The story is NOT going away. Just another nail in the Dems coffin for mid-terms.
It is setting up to be a historical slaughter.

This is really stupid. Obama is not looking to give away America’s sovereignty. Get with the times.. wake up.. America is no longer the center of the world.
December 6th, 2009 at 6:49 pm
So you say Mickey.
Well, I guess that should be good enough for all of us.
Thanks for the eligtenment and pulling us all out of the abyss. Your word is worth far more than anything in front of me is saying

This about-face on the timing just shows how totally inept Obama and his team are. The only reason they reversed themselves on the timing is because even his own liberal base was saying that anyone would know that you always attend these summits at the end,m when you can push for agreements. Let’s hope he is as inept at getting a bogus climate agreement as he was in getting the Olympics in Chicago.
