In the video below, you can see the biased ‘journalism’ of the infamous ‘tingle up my leg’ Chris Matthews. He slams former President George W. Bush and former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin while reporting that the Obama Family photo by Annie Leibovitz is released and virtually gushing over it and the Obamas in general. You can always count of Matthews to offer a tad of levity to a situation, if for not other reason than the contempt in his face when he discusses those he doesn’t like and the wonderment in his face when he discusses those he does like. You can get a good laugh looking at a man who calls himself a ‘journalist’. Ha!

Tim V your comment is inappropriate. Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman and this is a great picture of a lovely family. Your comment about the First Lady is unwarranted. I may not agree with the President’s view on almost any topic, but a personal attack is not relevant.

obama’s train ride is nothing compared to the ride geobushjr. took us on. ALL the problems we are still facing came from the bushy years. we knew then a lot of money was going to have to be spent to pay for his excesses. It will take a vietnamn long generation to undo the commotion bushjr. did to the nation. Perhaps the one thing you can’t blame on him is Pakistan under Musharrif’s refusal to clean out the western provinces of al queda and the taliban. but thats it. comeon.

This is probably the most pedestrian snapshot Liebovitz ever took.
This is not up to her normal standards, and flatly fails in a number of simple photographic principles.
I get the impression she would rather not have taken the gig.

What I think is most offensive is people continuing to demand that other people lose their eyes, writing that Michelle Obama is “attractive” and whatever else.
We have eyes, we can see, she’s not at all an “attractive” person, she’s misshapen, ugly, offensive to look at, quite exceptionally ugly to listen to.
There is not one thing attractive about her, so excuse me while I insist that the only people behaving offensively are the drunk and disorderly or stoned and deceptive who continue to complain that, despite what people can clearly see with their own eyes, that Michelle Obama is “attractive.”
If that’s attractive, then kitchen mold is glamorous.

lisab - I didn’t notice that, but you are right. She’s bent over too so that she appears shorter/smaller than her husband.
Have you noticed that the older daughter is always with Michelle and the younger one is always with Barack. I don’t know what that means, but it seems to always be the case.

Lisa, that’s a great catch. Anyone with a huge ass learns to get in the middle and back of photos. The ends and front are so distorted. The photographer must have pushed her way back because it would be natural to be right next to hubby.
On the flipside, you have Barack Obama the skinny milktoast on the end to enhance his stature. What a hilarious picture!
