Former Alaskan Governor and GOP Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, has reportedly finished her much anticipated memoir and you can buy it in time for Christmas! Sarah’s book is called “Going Rogue: An American Life” and will be released on November 17th which is months earlier then anticipated. You can read more below, see Sarah Palin photos, and a fun video.
After Governor Sarah Palin resigned from office on July 26th, she, her husband Todd and their children left Alaska for San Diego to work with her book’s co-writer, Lynn Vincent, for several weeks. I suppose they really got down to business because the draft of Sarah Palin’s book, called “Going Rogue: An American Life”, was finished in advance and is now in the editing/fact check stage. Her publisher, HarperCollins, has decided to release Sarah Palin’s 400-page memoir on November 17th just in time for the holiday buying season, instead of spring when it was originally scheduled.
I love that Sarah Palin has named her book “Going Rogue”! She is playfully giving a nod to that now famous Slate article suggesting that by the end of the November 2008 Presidential campaign, she and McCain’s campaign staff were at serious odds and whispers suggested that Sarah was “going rogue” on McCain.
I suspect Sarah will talk about her upbringing; Todd and her children; her public service career; all those frivolous lawsuits in Alaska whose sole purpose was to embarrass and harass her. I also suspect she will dish a bit: the 2008 Presidential election and all those “unnamed McCain staffers” who ripped her to shreds afterwards, and the incredible abuse her family has withstood from un-funny has-been comedians and other elitists. Maybe she’ll even hint a bit at future plans.
The publisher is clearly anticipating a huge demand for Sarah Palin’s memoir. The first printing is of 1.5 million copies which coincidentally is the same as the first run for Teddy Kennedy’s memoir, True Compass. Sarah Palin’s book is on the stands November 17th and I am quite certain it will be huge. She’s already a hot commodity on the Speaker’s circuit. And frankly, can you even imagine how delicious all the book interviews on TV will be? Personally, I can’t wait. I’ve missed seeing her on the political stage, though she has certainly made an impact in the healthcare debate.
Love her or hate her, Sarah Palin is really fascinating and really quite fearless. The key question is: Who will buy more copies of Sarah Palin’s Book ‘Going Rogue: An American Life’, the Palin-lovers or the Palin-haters? You can check out the photos of Sarah Palin and a fun video called ‘A Sarah Palin Tribute - The World’s Greatest’ below.

This just adds fuel to the fire and fans the flames of the idea that Palin quit her post as governor so that she COULD cash in on the book deal before anything drastic happened to cause her popularity to wane. Heaven help us all if there are ever sufficient people stupid enough to vote her into public office again.

Let’s see…
Would I rather stay in Alaska and fight frivolous ethics complaints from hate-filled, irrational democrats, or free myself to take the fight to them?
There’s nothing more fun than to watch the ridiculous Palin bashing from the left and the so-called moderate right,
Now, I see that she’s being bashed for earning money.
Honestly, HedgeBaby, have you nothing better to do?

I supported Sarah Palin and voted for McCain, mostly because of her. But this is just nonsense. She abandoned her duty as governor to write a book. What would she done as vice-president?
September 29th, 2009 at 12:34 am
I voted for Obama, but I must say, I was inspired by Sarah’s campaign as the first Republican woman vice president. Now I am ashamed that she ever sought office. She has fought ethics complaints for years, but only after she sought the vice presidency has she decided that the ethics complaints are too much for her.
She just wants a talk show, with FOX will probably give her. I might watch it, but I will never again vote for her.

i must say that i supported obama but his actions so far make me ashamed that he is president.
he has proven completely unworthy of the office in every way
it is too bad that the people did not support palin. at least she has proven that she is a women of integrity.

Prediction!
In this “memoir” by Ms. Vincent, we will find quotes describing profound feelings of morality and righteousness in association with GUNS.
The ignorant, virtually illiterate, wards of the state, who owe their income, homes, and consumer power to the dribblings of government and finance will love this book.
…prediction # 2….Palin’s kids will save us from her.

Since when is “Going Rogue” a euphemism for “Taking my Ball and Going Home”?
September 29th, 2009 at 6:04 am
Damn, some of you are talking sense (Hedge,Mary,Scott,Jimmy). I thought this site was host to just a bunch of crazies.

Seems everyone is afraid of Palin, those on the left and the right. I love it.
September 29th, 2009 at 9:59 am
Come to think of it, since it seems so much of her party doesn’t like her either, I hope she runs for president. It would be Obama, the master of words, versus Palin, the mincer of words.
September 29th, 2009 at 11:28 am
Master of words??? You’ve got to be kidding. Without his teleprompter the man turns into the Wizard of Uh’s right before our eyes. He may be a great reader, but speaker? Not!!!
I can’t wait for the book to come out. Sarah’s not in that elitist club which is obligated to keep behind the scenes secrets. I only wonder who will divulge more. Her or Blago.
To those of you who were disappointed with her resignation as governor, she really had no choice. The demoracts would have never stopped filing ethics charges which would have made it difficult for her to govern and eroded her bank account. It was a good call and she didn’t let her ego get in the way.

Monkey, you are right. Damn, Damn, Damn. All con leaders need to do is mutter freedom, tax cuts for the rich, government sucks, and act belligerent to a few countries. Words are meaningless as so many voted for W showed. He was the master mincer of words, about equal with Palin, but on a different level.
But half you party still sees her for what she is, a light weight.

I believe there are 5 candidates who are much better than Palin and Romney. Now remember this is purely for those who would do the best against obama.
5. Kay Bailey Hutchinson because she’s a strong conservative, very qualified, and a women.
4. Bobby Jindal because he’s more qualified than when obama ran,Indian, very conservative, and would be our youngest president.
3. Jeff Flake because he’s the kinda Libertarian republican I can actually agree with.
2. Mike Huckabee because he supports the Fair Tax,very conservative, and although the little rockers suck his show has made him well known and very popular in the South.
1. Gary Johnson because he’ll draw in Republicans with strong fiscal conservative positions, use his pro-choice and anti-war stance to attract Democrats, and his Libertarian beliefs brings independents. Also do to him being a business man and never serving as a senator or congressman he can run as the outsider to Washington.

Oh, I forgot to say “Go Palin”.
September 29th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until Palin stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers? Instead of doing business with every last one of them?
IMO people could end up voting for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- they’ll surely being looking for some such antidote to the Bolshevik con-artist who’s taking a wrecking-ball to this society now.
Small wonder then that far-left moonbats -along with Team Obama’s David Plouffe internet-control squad- are out to destroy her. The fact that she’s been highly successful in life while rejecting liberal feminism explains the extra dose of venom in the attacks-
Go get em ‘Cuda- you’re one tough lady… and there’s a lot of us behind you.

Reaganite:
I like Palin, but the resign thing made me turn on her. Look at my 5 people and you’ll agree there better.
September 29th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
Charles, that’s not a bad list.
September 29th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
Comon, half brain Palin will get up there and start blabbing about how she will cut government spending, increase defense, and cut pork. In the end, as it was with the last 3 cons in chief, the deficits will go crazy. I wonder why they never really say where they are going to cut government? Hmmmmmm.

Raygun:
First off I want to say good job your officially the new liberal of right pundits. Since I’ve been blogging we’ve had a couple liberals it started with Edward Phillip who left and Brian who’s been blogging less and less lately. Listen I’m not a Palin man, but to what you said on Defense. Under obama we’ve actually seen in increase in military spending do to his pay raise on the soldiers which sounds nice, but wont win us any war. Also under the obama deficit if you were to eliminate the entire military you’d still have a deficit. Also the military budget only makes up 20% of the current budget. The thing that’s making our national debt explode are the benefits such as Social Security, medicare, medicaid, and welfare. So my answer to that is get rid of them and you can eliminate the debt. It sounds cruel, but leave it up to the states which have to balance the budget. Also I feel we should get rid of the Department of education, commerce, energy, transportation, and a lot of other Departments.
My real question for you liberals is how the hell do you think we can even talk about universal healthcare when we have an 11 trillion dollar national debt?
September 29th, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Ryan:
I feel Jeff Flake would make a good candidate against obama.
September 29th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
Not sure if Flake has the name recognition, but I wish every Republican would sign his anti-pork pledge.
September 29th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
“First off I want to say good job your officially the new liberal of right pundits. ”
Thanks Charles but I would rather call myself a progressive. The definition is very appealing.
“anti-pork pledge.”
Pork greases the wheels. When congressmen have to make a tough vote, a little grease helps it go down better with constituents. And didn’t Mcaine and Obama agree in their debate, that the entire pork spent in 2007 was 18 billion? Sorry guys, that’s chicken feed.
Hopefully back in a bit.
September 29th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
I found it rather curious that during the elections the left consistently compared Palin to Obama and not Biden.
September 29th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
“Comon, half brain Palin will get up there and start blabbing about how she will cut government spending, increase defense, and cut pork.”
Cutting spending and pork is exactly what she “did” as mayor and governor in Alaska to go on at the time to become the most popular governor in the country
September 29th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Mick, I lived in AK for 7 years while in the USAF. No state taxes, pretty sure no sales tax, plus, just for living there I received a check of about 1500.00 per year. And this is back at least a decade. How hard is it to be popular with that going for you?
Palin is a nut. She is a RayGun wannabee, as was bush the dumber.
RayGun was right for the times, but the times have changed.
W proved the RayGun stuff does not work any longer.
