It comes as no surprise that in his speech to the United Nations Climate Change Summit that Barry Hussein Obama would back Palestinians over our ally Israel. In his speech Obama said it is time for Middle East peace “without preconditions,” and the America does not accept Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

“We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel, and we continue to emphasize that America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements,” he said.

While Obama publicly appears to support Israel, this statement indicates his willingness to back Palestinians.

Obama Addresses the U. N.

After a Tuesday meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmound Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Obama said while some progress has been made between the two, thaat more progress is needed in the region. There are four issues the two sides cannot agree on. They are security, borders, refugees and Jerusalem.

It should be noted that Abbas is not what he seems. His roots are in the Palestine Liberation Organization which chose him to be President in November 2008. He is a member of Fatah, founded by Yasser Arafat and named one of his three sons after the terrorist. He still is not willing to make lasting peace with Israel.

In what sounded like a campaign for World President, Obama employed his overused slogan of “change” when he said, “The people of the world want change,” noting that “just as no nation should be forced to accept the tyranny of another nation, no individual should be forced to accept the tyranny of their own government.” Too bad his does not practice what he preaches.

The most hypocritical statement Obama made was “Those who used to chastise America for acting alone in the world cannot now stand by and wait for America to solve the world’s problems alone.” And then half heartily chastised the nations within the U. N. when they support attacks on Israel by Palestinians instead of working for its right to exist in peace and security in the region. We have no better ally in the Middle East than Israel yet Obama is calling on terrorist, murders and butchers to make peace there.

Obama offered the international community the challenge to step up and fix the world’s problems both at home and abroad. It was like all his speeches, long on words and short on details. I felt I was listening to a community organizer rallying people to fight for truth, justice and the World United Way. But then Obama is what he is so it is no surprise that he would back Palestinians over Israel.
