Emergency control over the internet? Shutting down the internet during a cyber threat? Internet companies and civil liberties groups across the country are concerned, to put it mildly, about a U.S. Senate bill that would give the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet during a “cybersecurity emergency”. Obama Internet Control?
Have you heard of Senate Bill S.773 sponsored by Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV)? This bill appears to allow Barack Obama to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat. What it could do in effect, is give Obama Internet Control allowing him to basically shut down the internet. Is this ‘Presidential Emergency Internet Control’ necessary during a cybersecurity emergency? What does this do to our First Amendment rights and does this stiffle and control free speech?
The bill or “Cybersecurity Act of 2009″ has been written and re-written all summer long, and even in its revision, its still vague but alarming.
Some who are familiar with Senate Bill S 773, compared the president’s power to take control of portions of the Internet to what President Bush did when grounding all aircraft on September 11th. It appears that one primary concern is the electrical grid, and what would happen if it were attacked from a broadband connection.
Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.
Can you say more control and more regulation? Not to mention the privacy implications with this! So, what is the government’s role in cybersecurity? Is this “Marshall Law” in effect by controlling what goes out on the airwaves?

Though I am not a constitutional attorney, or play one here at Right Pundits, it appears to me that The One seeks internet control in the name of national security without any constitutional authority. This could lead to media control could it not?
In the Age of Obama, some are saying that the internet is the only really free press. His Internet Czar, like all his Czars, would be accountable only to him and not to Congress. Obama denies that he will attempt any personal monitoring or control of the internet but this ‘Obama Internet Control: Presidential Emergency Internet Control, Cybersecurity Emergency’ can only be a slippery slope and reeks of Communism 101.

I would think internet security would be a good field to be in now. It doeesn’t matter who is in power, the United States is likely to increase its control over the internet, either by more laws and taxes or being actually able to block it and switch it on and off. In time probably both. What hasnt’ the US, over time, increased its control of?

When you’ve got the (his) Dept. of Homeland Security making average citizens out to be radicals to the level of terrorists you can only imagine what he thinks is and is not really a threat. Too much coincidental sh*t happens with this guy like when healthcare and his numbers start crashing as the right brings awareness to its flaws he launches a special investigation. And tells everyone he doesnt want to do it. Yeah right.
Sorry, Bush enacted wireless survellance to what was a proven threst. Obama campaigned against it but then kept it. Wants the census in the White house, sends folks door to door taking pledges (data) for his economic policies. No way, not Obama, its only obvious this guy wants to know everything about everything and everyone. Dont let him fool you.

The three steps to his take-over and control of the internet are as follows:
1. Appoint an internet czar.
2. Claim there’s a threat to security via the internet.
3. Introduce a bill to allow him to take the internet over.
I really would love to know what the left would be screaming if this move was made by the Bush Administration…this man is radically changing our country right before our eyes, and has no shame in doing so!

The Obama transparency he promised extends only to:
1. His Marxist ideas and intent.
2. His obvious one party or one man rule of the USSA

I have a very large water purification system that includes several stages of sub micron reverse osmosis filters. I have a large supply of replacement filters also.
Not that I want children, I do not! I just do not trust public water supplies. Besides I hate Chlorine! My water really tastes good.
I do have a rather dirty natural water supply that my filtration will clean to sterile enough to inject into your body, “you’d want to add a little NaCl. Make it .09% of the H2o. That’s salt or sodium Chloride for those of you who don’t remember or know. Actually I have two supplies. As well as a local water co op. I have my filters setup to keep two 250 gal pressurized tanks filled. I cycle them and empty each about every two to three months.That should keep me for a week or so. At my present wasteful usage I use about 2000 gals a month. I don’t water grass, wash cars etc. How much do you use?
I use the dirty water I told you about to water my garden though.
I have several years of irradiated food supplies as well as my home built freeze drying equipment. I have deer sleep/eating in my back yard. Pigs too!
I’ve had to live with only bare necessities several times in my life. Have you? Do you know how?
I even have a very large home built solar power refrigeration system. I’m filling it up with freeze dried goods canned fruit and meat. My refrigerator is a walk in that is 20 ft by 15 ft. It is made from 4 inch thick 3 lb polyurethane foam, “top bottom, sides. The temp drops from -20 Deg F to 19 Deg F in six to seven days with the door shut and no added refrigeration.Nope it isn’t solar panel powered. No compressors. No moving parts except for some check valves and ball valves. Look up Gas Absorption cooling. Mine is similar to the one in the Home Power Magazine. Mine is larger, more efficient, and mostly automated. automation is the only electrical energy used by it. It switches valves. That part is solar powered with enough battery power for a couple weeks of no sun. If I have to I can manually cycle it several times a day or as needed.
I live off the roads in a forest and I was a sharp shooter in Vietnam. Came from my days as a kid shooting game to stay alive. Not the old bad ass military training. Yes I grew up with no electricity, indoor facilities or much more. Cooked on a wood stove. “I have one now.” Heated with wood also.
I hunted squirrel, deer, turkey and wild goats.
Don’t come here looking for help when Obama takes the grid down and the food supplies stop.

I live much better than you do anyway so the only thing I’ll have to do is get used to not driving to town a couple days a week to the buffet. No going to the store for caned foods, Ice Cream, Pizza, Hamburgers etc.
By the way, my chickens will also eat meat too if it is cut up to their size. So if you come by with bad intentions I’ll have eggs,bacon/ham and fried chicken courtesy of you and your buddies if you bring them.
I’ll trade dried pork, pork chops and ham for other goods from my less fortunate neighbors.
I just won’t tell them it was you I made the meat from.

OH by the way. I have old style radio communications stored in double Faraday cages to survive an EMP if it happens. I even stooped to the level of buying a few damned CB radios, “PUKE!” I also have a few low power computers stored the same way. I have IR vision and good equipment besides my automated electronics to catch fools who try to slip in.
I have a total no tolerance level, or will when the S$%# hits the fan!
