In an ever increasing attempt to undermine the National Security of the United States, Newsweek magazine has spilled the beans on CIA mock executions. My question is, so what? A report by the CIA’s inspector general says that mock executions were used to entice detainees to relinquish information.
The left is never really happy are they? Had the CIA actually executed somebody the ACLU and every other human rights group would be involved. What am I saying, they probably will be anyway.
The Newsweek story claims that CIA mock executions, a situation in which a detainee was in one room and a gunshot was fired in the next room to make the prisoner think that one of his compadres had met his fate. Seems like it might actually be a pretty effective way to garner information.
The report also claims that the USS Cole bomber, Abd al Rahim al Nashiri was threatened with a gun and a power drill. (Could’ve been worse, did you ever see “Scarface” and the chainsaw incident?) From the NYDaily News:
The drill was turned on and held near him, said one source, adding, “The purpose was to scare him into giving information up.”
The Bush Administration did however confirm that al Nashiri was one of the lucky detainees to undergo waterboarding. Thank you Newsweek for your continued support of those in harm’s way protecting our freedoms. Your release of a CIA mock execution report proves that.
You just gotta love Rachel

I dont know bout you guys but the bulldog dykes I saw when I was floating down Kern river in an inner tube, one for me, one for my beer, didnt look anything like Maddow.
Now, I’m no fan of her appearance but she didnt have the boobs all the way down to her kness covering the beer belly with massive unplaned tattoes, some from ther hole, some well done, some look like ink stains.
I floated by and did a double take at these bathing beauties and was verbally assulted by rounds of “WTF are you looking at you cum gargling b*tch “?
Nah, Maddow just seems like she might be a little dominant, doesnt care to get too glamorous or dolled up, but I dont see the bull in her. ( naturally, if shes talking well, yeah)
Brian, you’re such a freak, really.
I cant even begin to imagine how someone like you lives. Its almost painful to begin the process of drumming up the scenario. Its like, where does one start ? Imagining what your family looks like or the house you live in.
Do you have a wardrobe consisting of 7 pairs of all the same thing ? Lotta tin foil all over the place ? Hoarding pack rat with old newspapers stacked ceiling high all articles consisting only of obscure conspiracies that onlt some nut would think are still going happen one day.
Must say, you do provoke thought.
but then, so did the guy in Waikiki with his finger in the hole in the sidewalk.
After a few months of watching this guy walk up to the same hole everyday and sit there with his finger in it all day I finally asked him what the hell he was doing.
He said that if he took his finger out for too long the air inside the planet would escape and the planet would drift off into space out of its orbit and either freeze or cook us all to death.
Was that you Brian ?
August 23rd, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Threatening a prisoner with death violates U.S. anti-torture laws.- guess there ARE some laws
August 23rd, 2009 at 1:08 pm
I don’t know. I mean, it is either torture or it is not. The Japanese in WWII used waterboarding as torture. So, maybe they weren’t so bad, either. It is either torture, or it is not.
But facts don’t matter. Or facts are hazy, or can change to suit the occasion or the situation, I guess. You know, like that one dude said: “What is truth?”
Then he murdered Jesus.
August 23rd, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Kind of funny, but how many triple latte’s anc countless chockolet chip scones did that cost you to gather that questionable knowledge? I live very much like ward cleaver and have his sweaters from ebay and its not a bad life. You will find Maddow offers a pretty good alternative voice to the same ole same ole as time goes by. Klo, its torture. can’t belive people here want to even debate if torture is torture.
August 23rd, 2009 at 1:47 pm
So maybe what some think is, you reach a point where the nefariousness of your enemy warrants that torture is at least acceptable. Esp. when it is something that you don’t consider to be such a terrible torture, like waterboarding, and mock executions, even though the international community defines them as torture.
Do I read you right?
The most extreme example I can think of of this is the execution of the Nazi war criminals convicted at the Nuremburg trials. The hangman, who was part of the American armed service, blew it, probably totally by accident, as has been claimed (he didn’t have much practice, I guess). When you hang someone it is supposed to break their neck and they are supposed to die right away, but for some of the hangees in the aforementioned case, it didn’t go quite according to Hoyle, and they hung there for some relatively lengthy period of time, and slowly died. Now you can say, considering their crimes, the genocide and torture and execution of millions of innocent people, then that’s OK. They got what was coming to them. They deserved even more.
Well, I can honestly say, I don’t agree with that, mainly because, even though I am not a religious person, I sort of believe that punishment like that should be meted out by a higher power. I would be frightened to take that into my own hands, considering the bad things I have done in my lifetime, things that I am ashamed of, even though not anywhere as terrible as what the N*zis did, I am sure. And if we are a religious nation, as you love to proclaim, then we as a nation should not do things like this, either.
So my conclusion is, torture in any way is wrong. Mock executions and waterboarding are things that no branch or agency of the US should do, for any reason. I don’t care how much you hate the Muslims. (Oops. Sorry.)
August 23rd, 2009 at 1:50 pm
I meant to say, no matter how much SOME people hate Muslims. I know y’all at rightpundits.com don’t really hate anyone, not even Obama, not really, I don’t think.
Well….
August 23rd, 2009 at 3:04 pm
this is just another thing that will blow up in obama’s face.
if he keeps attacking the cia it will be just a matter of time before there is another attack on usa soil and obama will be blamed.
August 23rd, 2009 at 3:12 pm
you mean the cia who told us iraq had hidden wmd’s and it was a slam dunk we’d get saddam with some midnight bombing? They are a subordinate institution to the presidency and should show the proper respect to that office or lets dock their pay. They do have successes you never hear about, but there have been some real foul ups.
August 23rd, 2009 at 3:17 pm
how much SOME people hate Muslims.
who hates muslims ? not me.
anyone ?
August 23rd, 2009 at 3:39 pm
Hey, Klo,
Did you hate President Bush?
Did you hate Vice President Cheney?
Frank
August 23rd, 2009 at 4:37 pm
well frank, just who did bush and cheney really respresent? I don’t feel they represented my interests on most every domestic issue so what was the point of them being our domestic presidents? they should have just been a belligerent war cabinet with an attitude.
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:08 pm
“You will find Maddow offers a pretty good alternative voice to the same ole same ole as time goes by. ”
Yeah, so does KLO or Janine Garafolo
I think they should of gone to the coroner and borrowed some heads and extremities and then when they pull the masks off these detainees they would really freak.
You guys crack me up with your definite terms of what is and isnt torture. As if your sense of reality is that of any normal person either.
Brian, for the hundreth millionth time. There were about 20 intelligence agencies involved in gathering knowledge of Saddam over the years.
And if its anyone’s fault that it looked like Saddam had WMDs it was his and his alone for the simple reason that he left everyone with no choice but to think so.
Kicking inspectors out, not cooperating, playing cat and mouse, using them before on Kurds and Iranians and maybe even our own guys in the storm.
Tell me, what the hell was any semi rational person supposed to think ?
But no, instead of typical good ole common logic you gotta go making up lies, accusations you cant prove yet say are true.
Whether you think Bush or Cheny represented your interests is really irrelevant. Its about the country as a whole. Much like with Obamas stupid health care plan. Is he representing my interests ? Does he care ?
But in the case with Bush I’m more prone to take a liking to his interests as Saddam had actually posed a threat and seemed to pose more of one in the future. With Obamas health care its genuine fear mongering of a threat that really has little credibility when you look at the numbers. What ? 47 million who dont have healthcare ? Only 10% of them are worthy of it ? And as a result the whole damn country is going top have to suffer for those people ? Or global warming, the green sh*t ?
That’s debate never was over yet were supposed to just accept it as gospel that its a threat of nuclear proportions if something isn’t done.
Its all bullsh*t. Obama has scared people into thinking he’s got their best interests at heart when really its all just a fricken power grab.
Bush was defending us from two real tangible threats, where granted, the info was a little screwed up, but it wasn’t intentionally misleading like the lies that are no doubt intentionally coming from Obama. The White house E mails, AARP, stuff he says isn’t in the bill but is. Never mind the lies connected to all his other policies.
So, if you’re going to accuse someone of lying don’t you think Obama is a target that would give a little more credibility ?
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:10 pm
Frank…Klo hates everyone that doesn’t share his/her views.
August 23rd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
Brian,
Just as President Obama represents all Americans, President Bush represented all Americans.
President Bush, in spite of your thoughts, did accomplish some significant things in his 8 years in office. NCLB and Medicare Drug Plan were two very significant things. He kept the United States safe from any attack during the last seven years in office and he tried to improve social security.
I agree that we did not find any WMD, but every nation agreed that Saddam Hussein had them. His objective, which was poorly communicated (similar to the inconsistent communication today about healthcare reform) was to gain a muslim nation in the middle east with a western-style government. The objective was to have an ally in the mid-east. That has been fulfilled. There is a foothold that may be needed to help relieve the mid-east problems.
There were certainly problems within the Bush administration but not everything.
At least he listened to the majority of the American people. When the majority said something, he adhered to their wishes. BTW, I know that you will say that the majority of the population wanted out of Iraq, but the polls never were more than 50% to withdraw.
Respectfully submitted.
Frank

The real issue is that Brian is a liar.
With no proof whatsoever that Bush intentionally cooked the books, so to say, he still repeats this as fact.
The blatant ironic hypocrisy lies in that while Brian supports the lyingist president weve ever had he himself is of the same mold.
The one thing that bothers me probably more than anything today is not partisanship or the divide like weve never seen. its that people are nowadays allowed to just lie and walk away as nothing.
Yeah, its become as casual as saying I mispoke.
How many people are going to have to die before we stop this casual issuance of bullsh*t ?
Where did we round that corner where all of a sudden the most powerful man in the country doesnt have to be accurate to his word or apologize when he calls Americans names, stupid, or lies ?
People are going to die, the majority of the country knows that and is telling this a$$wipe we dont want this sh*t and yet hes allowed to just go full steam ahead and lie about it all in the process ?
I mean, if California can vote on something so silly as gay marriage then why should the country not be able vote on universal healthcare which is by far a more serious matter ?
And did we all forget about the wealth redistribution factor in all this ? And please moonbats, dont come back with because we have cops and firemen that are paid for by taxes we are already socialist. Thats a support of infrastructure and its not the same as putting my money directly in some lazy slobs pocket. Theres a huge difference.
And Klo.
I do hate Muslims. The ones that hate me. And I’m even beginning to be a little concerned with the moderates since it seems whithin that sect its permissable to commit honor killings, whack off your daughters head for converting to Christianity.
I have no problem hating something. I’m the least PC guy on the planet and not out to impress anyone. My hate breeds anger. My anger breeds motivation to do away with the bad things I hate. Its really quite simple.
August 23rd, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Frank, you may as well be talking to a table.
August 23rd, 2009 at 6:09 pm
Micky, Klo-less is a mindless fruitcake.
August 23rd, 2009 at 6:17 pm
klo is actually what you would call a normal civilized human being with common sense who isn’t afraid to educate others when they stray off the garden path into the fertilizer bag.
August 23rd, 2009 at 6:23 pm
flyingmonkey,
I know.
Hopefully I won’t be called a right wing zealot.
Frank

“klo is actually what you would call a normal civilized human being with common sense who isn’t afraid to educate others when they stray off the garden path into the fertilizer bag.”
Coming from you that carrys alot of weight, like, in your case, the fertilizer bag would be the feed bag.
KLO, educate people ?
On what ? That someone can be so dumb ?
“Garden path”
Who TF talks like that ?
This reminds me of that drunk we used to go strike up conversations with when we were kids just so we could laugh at him and trip out on the weird sh*t he said.
“Young man, were going to come to lagerheads if you persist in this behavior”
August 23rd, 2009 at 8:41 pm
All I got to say is can we have some Tokaii and call it a day. 4 puttunos plz.brian-change your shirt and take a shower. You’ve been wearing that one for days. As for Klo, baby you gots to get fo real, you see, Brian be taken all yo best shizizzle to the matizzle.
August 23rd, 2009 at 8:51 pm
Well Micky, I wrote a strong critique outlining the case against bush and they, or someone held it in moderation and then disappeared it. To me this says that they don’t play fair and everything people like Maddow is saying regarding media and public manipulation by the right is true. I mean palpably true. There’s not much more to say, except this was censorship solely based on the content of my opinions. The sad part, is people don’t always know when something is censored.
August 23rd, 2009 at 9:36 pm
“Well Micky, I wrote a strong critique outlining the case against bush and they, or someone held it in moderation and then disappeared it.”
So what ?
I’ve been thru the whole case up and down myself for the last 5 or 6 years listening to you clowns say he cooked the books and theres nothing to prove it. So unless you can prove it shut your yap or continue looking like the vindictive little clueless b*tch that you are.
Theres plenty of evidence that Bush repeated bad info. And thats it.
Theres absolutely not one centilla of evidence that he orchestrated the whole intelligence scenario and quite frankly it would be impossible seeing as how many organizations were involved in the gathering.
Now do us all a favor, grow up and stop f*ckin insulting our intelligence.
Now you’re trying to tell everyone that you wrote such a convincing case against Bush that RP just had to hide it ?
Crust o mighty get over yourself you delusional freak if it were so f*ckin great then why doesnt one of the bigger publications pick it up ?
Jeez, just when I thought it was impossible for anyone to dumber than you are crazy.
Have some self respect man.
August 23rd, 2009 at 9:43 pm
I did write it and it would have been #67-9 but its gone. belive who you want. Might I suggest you read the New York Times front page on right now regarding the justice departments pending investigation on the tortures? It actually looks more serious than I thought it was going to be and they may not be able to water it down, although obama could over rule them and ultimately give a pre-pardon to the bad actors. Do you even have any idea of just how bad the Justice Dept bent the law under bush? I am not making this up. go read the article.
August 23rd, 2009 at 10:04 pm
Mock executions my a$$. How about some real executions. Just a little .45 Cal slug behind the ear. Stamp them null and void.
