Leave it up to one of Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked boobs to start talking about a second stimulus when the first one has been a failure; as a matter of fact, the so called stimulus isn’t even really a stimulus. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer held a press conference today saying that he is in fact for a second stimulus.

And on the opposite end of the wacko spectrum, Harry Reid says that everything is going so good because of the first stimulus there isn’t any need for a second. I see a conundrum for the liberal democrats when it comes to the debate about a second stimulus.

Those who are calling for a second stimulus like Steny Hoyer, aides to Obama, and even Joe Biden are in essence saying the first didn’t work. Those who are saying that the first is working, like Harry Reid and yes, Barack Obama, are living in wonderland with Alice.

Once again, democrats by being on the wrong side of the issue have forced themselves to remain there. They can’t admit a mistake, or at least acknowledge that things are worse off despite their efforts. Never mind the fact that the first $787 billion dollar stimulus was nothing more than entitlement spending and pet projects in democrat districts.

Steny Hoyer can talk all he wants about a second stimulus, but the American people are beginning to wise up to that line of bilge. Even Harry Reid has that much figured out. This is what Reid said in his own press conference today:

“To me, there’s no showing that a second stimulus is needed,” Reid said. Asked if the first stimulus needs to be retooled, Reid said, “We’re doing fine” with the first stimulus package, a $787 billion bill passed in January.

Don’t get me wrong, Reid would love to pass another $700 billion stimulus package, he would just rather pass socialized medicine and cap and tax before moving on to more entitlement spending. Steny Hoyer, talking about a second stimulus was just dumb enough to show his hand.
