Outspoken and fearless, Brigitte Gabriel is quite pleased that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is resisting pressure from the Obama administration to give more concessions to the Palestinians. Barack Obama wants Israel to stop all settlement construction in disputed areas, including “natural growth” — a reference to Israel’s insistence that new construction is necessary to accommodate the expansion of families already living in existing settlements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is rebuffing The One’s ‘wants’ by saying that Jerusalem will always remain under Israeli sovereignty, and has refused to endorse Palestinian statehood and activist Brigitte Gabriel is hoping Netanyahu stands firm.
“I hope and pray that he sticks to his guns — I really do,” she says, “because I believe the United States is already putting unbelievable pressure on Israel. I do hope that Benjamin Netanyahu will be able to rally the nation of Israel — and I think the majority of the Israelis right now are completely behind [him].”
Brigitte Gabriel views the survival of Israel as being of paramount importance as a vanguard of Western culture because as “the only Western-style nation in the Middle East, one that Arabs despise, feel threatened by, and vow to destroy.”

Brigitte Gabriel was born in 1965 in Lebanon to a Maronite Christian family. She is a journalist, author and speaker on Islam and the Middle East. She says she gives voice to ‘what many in America are thinking but afraid to say out loud, for fear of being labeled a racist, bigot, Islamophobic, or intolerant.’ She frequently lectures to American conservative-leaning organizations such as The Heritage Foundation, Christians United for Israel, Evangelicals and Jewish groups. She has even debated and partnered with famous liberal Alan Dershowitz.
Brigitte Gabriel grew up during the Lebanese Civil War. Militants launched an assault on a Lebanese military base near her family’s house and bombed her home during a national attempt to overrun the Lebanese government. In April 1975 and following the collapse of the Lebanese Army, many Lebanese Christian militiamen found themselves defending their own homes and were heavily engaged in street fights against the Palestinian militias and the Lebanese National Movement(Leftist). Just ten years old at the time, Brigitte was severely injured and spent 2 1/2 months in a hospital recovering. Gabriel was the only child of elderly parents. Their life savings were destroyed in the bombings, as well as their money, their restaurant and their rental rooms.
Brigitte and her parents were forced to live in an 8′x10′ bomb shelter underground for seven years with only a small kerosene heater, no sanitary systems, no electricity or running water and little food. She says she owes her life and that of her mother’s to an Israeli hospital who provided care to them while seriously injured during the conflicts in Lebanon.
Brigitte Gabriel is a former news anchor for “World News”, the Arabic evening news broadcast for Middle East Television a Christian television station seen throughout Israel, Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. She covered the Israeli withdrawal from central Lebanon, the Israeli Security Zone and the Palestinian uprising in the West Bank and Gaza.
She emigrated to the United States in 1989 and founded a television production, marketing and advertising agency. She speaks four languages, Arabic, French, English and Hebrew.
Brigitte Gabriel is the founder of the conservative ACT! or the American Congress for Truth, a non-profit issues advocacy organization. ‘ACT! for America’ has hundreds of chapters across America and members in 20 countries outside of America.
She is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Intelligence Summit and lectures nationally and internationally on Global Terrorism. She is the author of the New York Times Bestseller ‘Because They Hate: A Survivor of Terror Warns America’, and ‘They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It’. She is a regular guest analyst on Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC and various radio stations daily across America.
Her book “Because They Hate” was put on the reading list at the FBI Academy and was assigned as mandatory reading for Navy SEALs heading to the Middle East.

The Christians hurt the Muslims and Palestinians in Lebanon as well and destroyed their businesses and homes and made them fear for their lives and massacred them. Their was a huge massacre of Palestinians by a Christian Militia at Sabra and Shatila camps. Why doesnt this woman speak about that!? The damage was not one-sided.

Yazan, I don’t know if Christians did what you say or not, or under what context. But if they did, they did it AGAINST the teachings of the Bible (which most Christians believe teaches not to kill your enemies), whereas the Islamists that are doing the violence that she experienced, do it in the name of the Koran, which many, many muslims believe it teaches them to punish and even kill all infidels.
We already experienced what happens when you ignore the ‘holy war’ declared against all infidels. But we are in such a slumber, so naively willing to hope that the ‘appeasement’ dogma will change the hearts of those hell-bent to destroy us, that we are without a doubt ready for another rude wake-up call.

The Sabra and Shatila massacre (or Sabra and Chatila massacre; Arabic: مذبحة صبرا وشاتيلا Maḏbaḥat Ṣabrā wa Shātīlā) (33°51′40.47″N 35°30′01.50″E / 33.8612417°N 35.500417°E / 33.8612417; 35.500417) was a massacre of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians carried out between September 16 and 18, 1982 by the Lebanese Forces Christian militia group. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF), in control of Beirut, surrounded Beirut’s Palestinian refugee camps immediately after the assassination of Phalangist leader and president-elect Bachir Gemayel two days before, then allowed Lebanese Phalangist militiamen to enter two of these refugee camps, Sabra and Shatila. The exact number killed is disputed, with estimates ranging from 328 to 3,500 (see below).
The Phalangists stood under the direct command of Elie Hobeika, who later became a long-serving Lebanese Member of Parliament and, in the 1990s, a cabinet minister. The Israeli military’s Chief of Staff was Lt. General Rafael Eitan, and Israel’s Defence Minister was Ariel Sharon.
A major outcry erupted both in Israel and internationally, because the Sabra and Shatila camps had been under the control of IDF. The Phalangists, who committed the killings, were spared the brunt of international condemnation. Some commentators have suggested that the Israeli military may have been involved in the incident to some extent (see below).
The Israeli government established the Kahan Commission to investigate, and it subsequently found Israel indirectly responsible for the event. The report said the possibility of a revenge attempt was “foreseeable”, and that Israeli commanders should not have permitted Phalangists into the camps. Ariel Sharon was found to bear personal responsibility[2] for “ignoring the danger of bloodshed and revenge” and for “not taking appropriate measures to prevent bloodshed.” The commission recommended that Sharon be removed as head of the Defence Ministry, and Sharon, after initial resistance, resigned.

My point was not to say Christians and Jews are a bunch of murderers. My point is that this woman was being unbalanced in her speech making the palestinians and Muslims sound like they were the only ones doing all the killing in that ruthless Civil War in Lebanon. That is not true, there was a lot of killing on both sides. And the absolute bloodiest massacre of that whole war, unfortunately, was what a Christian Militia in Lebanon did to Palestinian and Muslim Civilians at Sabra and Shatila Refugee Camps in Lebanon. This woman of course will make no mention of those atrocities.
Also George I never said I support the terrorist activities of those who commit suicide bombings. Rather I have repeated over and over again to Muslims and non-Muslims alike that I reject suicide bombings and the killing of innocent civilians wherever it be. I reject them whether they are done against peoples of various religions in America or Jewish Civilians at market-places in the so-called state of Israel or Muslims in Pakistan and Iraq and Saudi…
I abhore those acts of terrorism and I know for a fact that God did not tell us to do these things in the Qur’aan nor did His Messenger Muhammed (peace and commendations be upon him) tell us to do them in his teachings, please read the following verses of the Qur’aan and the following Prophetic narrations — Bear in mind that Muslims believe the Qur’aan is the exact word of God and the Prophetic teachings are the words of Prophet Muhammed (peace and commendations be upon him) but both are considered sources of guidance and legislation:
1) God said in The Qur’aan: “And fight for the sake of Allah those who fight you but do not trangress, Indeed Allah does not love those who transgress.” The Qur’aan, Sura #2, aya #190.
YAZAN’S COMMENT: Note that God permitted fighting but forbade trangressing or going over the limits. And those “limits” are clearly defined in the teachings of Muhammed (peace and commendations be upon him) and the explanations of the Islamic scholars who are knowledgable of the Qur’aan and prophetic teachings as you will see, God willing:
2) The Prophet Muhammed (peace and commendations be upon him) said:
“…fight and do not illegally take part of the war booty, and do not betray, and do not mutilate, and do not kill a child.” — Prophetic narration reported in the Saheeh collection of Imam Muslim in the Book of Jihaad.
3)The close companion of Prophet Muhammed (peace and commendations be upon him) named Abdullah ibn Umar said:
“A woman was found killed in one of the battles, so then the Messenger of Allah (i.e. Muhammed), peace and commendations be upon him, forbade the killing of women and children.”
— Prophetic narration reported in the Saheeh collection of Imam Muslim in the Book of Jihaad the chapter entitled “The Prohibition of Killing women and Children in War.”
4) The Renowned Muslim Scholar Imam An-Nawawi who lived hundreds and hundreds of years before the events of September 11th or modern terrorism said in his commentary on the preceding narration,
“The (Islamic) scholars are in agreement over the application of this narration and the prohibition of killing women and children if they did not fight..”
5) The renowned Muslim Scholar Ibn Katheer, who lived hundreds and hundreds of years before “9-11″ said in his famous explanation of the Qur’aan when commenting on the verse:
“And fight for the sake of Allah those who fight you but do not trangress, Indeed Allah does not love those who transgress.”
IBN KATHEER — “This Means ‘Fight for the sake of Allah and do not transgress when doing that, and the committing of those things which are prohibited is included under that — Just as Al-Hasan Al-Basree (Yazan’s note: Al-Basree was a very early scholar of Islam who learned directly from many of the original Prophetic disciples) said: ‘(and the committing of those things which are prohibited is included under that) from mutilation and illegaly taking from the war booty, and killing women and children and elderly men who’s opinion is not considered (i.e. they have no “say-so”), and monks and the people of hermitages, and burning trees and killing animals for other than a beneficial reason… just as Ibn Abbaas (Yazan’s note: one of the most knowledgable prophetic companions), and Umar Ibn Abdul Azeez and Muqaatil Ibn Hayyaan and other than them said. —- End qoute

So, concerned reader, the point of me bringing you all these verses of Qur’aan and prophetic narrations and statements and explanations of Ancient Muslim Scholars is to show you that the religion of Islam itself, regardless of the actions of modern-day ignorant and misguided Muslims, does not permit transgression in fighting the enemy and betrayal of pacts and the killing of innocent women and children who do not fight or elderly men who do not decide matters, or monks or religous ascetics, or even burning trees or killing animals without a purpose just to cause destruction! And that little info that I have brought to you is just the “tip of the ice
berg” of what I could bring you to prove my point.
MY GOD! Is this the same Islam that we see some of the Muslim fighters following today!? Unfortunately for all too many of them no… That is because they are either not knowledgable of the true teachings of their religion or in some cases they know and are so fueled by rage and a lust for revenge against the people that fight with them or that they percieve as transgressors or invaders who are out to get them that they overlook the rules of God in the Qur’aan!!!
