In our third episode we once again discuss this week’s hot items with a conservative bent. We talk about Obama’s visit to Notre Dame, more about Pelosi’s knowledge (or lack thereof) regarding waterboarding, Gov. Huntsman appointment as ambassador to China, Al Gore v. Dick Cheney, the fact that more Americans are pro-life then pro-choice and I give you my review of Star Trek, which I know you all can’t wait to hear (Trekkers unite).
We look forward to any thoughts or comments you might have about our discussion and we hope to start bringing this format as a live stream with user participation in the near future. You can also subscribe to our podcast using iTunes by clicking on the button in the left pane. Thanks for everyone’s support!
Enjoy!

How is it that the GOP is losing ground among all demographics?

Give it a year, Benedict. Once the people see the shambles that Reid, Pelosi, and BO put the country in, it will be a no-brainer.

Interesting that you mention that. The same poll also shows that party identification is even for the first time in 5 years. http://www.gallup.com/poll/15370/Party-Affiliation.aspx.
How does one reconcile the data from this poll? The easiest way is the most obvious, Gallup sucks as a polling firm.

Lol at Benedict.

Further, only 22% said that they were “liberal” in exit polls after Obama won. I believe there were over 40% who said they were conservative. Though some might identify with the Democratic party, I think many of those people are not liberals, and can swing to the Republican side when the candidate is right. This would be why Reagan won 49 states, suckas. How many times has a Democrat done that?

Hey all, just wondering if you guys heard the little exchange involving Lindsay Graham and Mark Sanford at the South Carolina GOP convention. Graham was trashing libertarians at the podium, saying emphatically that the Republican party is not in line with the libertarians. Here was Sanford’s response:
There was almost a pejorative comment a moment ago. Sen. Graham spoke and said “I’m not a libertarian,” whatever, whatever, as if that’s an evil word. Liberty is the hallmark of the American experiment … People say, you know, “Mark, you’re kind of libertarian,” you know, and they say it as if it’s an evil word, like you’re a communist or something. I’m like: Throw me in that briar patch … I’ve been accused of being a libertarian and I wear it as a badge of honor.
Hey GOP folks: stick with this guy, he knows what he’s talking about. If you want the party to stay mired in religion and populism, go with Palin. If you want to return to a sound philosophy of American government, go with Sanford. I know he’d have me voting GOP in 2012.
