Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn’t know about the “torture” technique waterboarding being used by the CIA. Or did she? A Washington Post story from 2007 sites lawmakers who knew about the technique back in 2002 and did not disapprove; Nancy Pelosi was one of them. Read more, see photos and video below.
The Washington Post story from 2007 says that four lawmakers, including current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were given a virtual tour of a secret CIA detention site as well as “harsh” techniques used to gain information from suspected terrorists. From the Washington Post, September 2007:
Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.
Now of course, with the current political climate being what it is, Speaker Pelosi denies ever being briefed on such techniques. Just after September 11th, 2001, most lawmakers would have been in favor of such “harsh” techniques. Waterboarding was later used as the symbol of depravity by the Bush administration by democrats in congress.
More information comes to light by the day, first Obama releases secret memos describing how the Bush administration used such techniques. Then, a couple days later, the edited content is made known showing that these techniques, especially waterboarding, yielded “high value” information. Former Vice-President Dick Cheney has requested that certain documents be made available that would show just how much information was gained by those interrogation techniques.
At the height of hypocrisy lies none other than Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Being aware of waterboarding and other “harsh” techniques way back in 2002; and of course now crying for a “truth” commission to try and nail Bush administration officials.
It begs the question, what did Pelosi know, and when did she know it? The fact that she knew about waterboarding and other techniques is not the crime; her blatant hypocrisy and double standard is the crime. President Obama has opened up a can of worms by releasing the so called “torture” memos; worms I’m sure he wishes were back in the can.

Nancy Pelosi and the other leaders of the House and Senate are bound by Executive Orders not indulge classified info. Boenher is fully aware of this and is bound by the same Executive Orders and he is quite a sleazy piece of s##t for relying on stupid people to not Google the law and learn for themselveslike ie: this blog! Pelosi, McCain, Reid, Graham and other members of Congress all wrote memos strongly protesting the illegal torture tactics but if they dared to reveal this info to the public, they would face immediate impeachment and federal charges. Google it idiots!

And “Burn the witch”? How about the US soldiers who were serving their country at Abu Ghraib who had their lives and military careers ruined beyond repair for what we now know and these memos prove, were following orders. Bush Administration officials like Cheney and Rove and right-wing extremists who can defend these illegal torture tactics now as being “necessary and effective” but were hiding like yellow spineless cowards behind lies while these men and women serving their country were being dishonorably discharged, prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned after the Abu Ghraib mess was exposed. A decorated Brig General had her military career ruined beyond repair because these treasonous cowards didn’t have the balls to defend then what they now so conveniently defend now.
I demand President Obama pardon these soldiers and release the one still serving a prison sentence at the hands of these treasonous cowards!
I demand the US Military allow these soldiers to re-join the military or at least change their discharge status to “honorable”!
I demand the US Justice Department take the advice of all for top Military Judge Advocate Generals from the Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force and prosecute Bush Administration officials for illegal torture and the unforgivable treason committed against the men and women serving our country at Abu Ghraib!
Convict them all and send them all straight to hell where they belong!!!

The thing about Cheney is, he sort of LOOKS like someone who would torture somebody. He even looks like he might enjoy it.
Oh, but this is about Pelosi. Does she want to torture people too?

Torture Apologists have the false logic of saying:
1. Water boarding is not torture. When that is shown to be false they go to efficacy.
2. Yes, it is torture, but it works. Even though JPRA the agency that runs SERE and reverse engineered water boarding says it provides unreliable information.
3. The LA Terror plot proves that it works? Sorry kids there has never been a “24″ scenario where real life Jack Bauer’s have had to torture some bad guy to stop the nuke from going off.
But then the apologists find out the plot was uncovered and thwarted in 2002 and KSM was picked up March 1, 2003. Darn timeline always getting in the way of the facts.
4. Blame Pelosi, she knew too (much). And if Pelosi divulged top secret information, reichwingers would have been all over her just like they are saying the release of recent torture memos by Pres. Obama is treason.
We are a nation of laws. Water boarding has always been prosecuted by this country as a war crime when done to U.S. Citizens and courts martialled U.S. military who have used it against Filipino insurgents as far back as 1898 and suspected VC during the Viet Nam War. Let a bipartisan commission get to the bottom of this and let the DOJ act on any recommendations.

Wouldn’t it had been more valuable for the Dems in the majority House and Senate to take credit for the enhanced techiniques.
They could of said this is why you all re-elected and elected us for keeping you all safe.
Come on, we all know what we would do if terrorists had knives to any of our childrens throats, and we had the leader in custody with the info in his head.”Excuse my common sense”!
If i was a liberal i would have jumped in front of that camera and told the press, because of “me” and my approval at the CIA briefing, and “I” gave them the go ahead to proceed and this is why the Brooklyn bridge is not sitting on the bottom of the Hudson….

Its only a crime When the speaker says it is.
I don’t know about all of you,but I’m getting real tired of both parties. It seems as if No one can tell the truth anymore. They all think the masses are asses.
