The White House accidentally gave journalists the telephone number for a phone sex line rather than the call in number for a conference call with Hillary Clinton. The journalists who called in for the conference got more than they bargained for. Read about it below and see photos and a video.

Does anyone proof read missives that come out of this White House? Judging from the number of embarrassing gaffes and very public bungling since the Obama administration entered office one would have to think, ‘no’. The President has given the wrong speeches that some staffer fed into his ever present teleprompter, even to the point of thanking himself for inviting himself to an event. Apparently, even he doesn’t listen to himself.

Just yesterday, some staffer mistyped the call in telephone number for a telephone conference about the NATO Summit with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and National Security Advisor Jim Jones. They were expecting to be on the phone listening to Clinton and Jones discuss foreign policy and security threats. Imagine their surprise when they were greeted by a recording by a phone sex line.

“Do you have any hidden desires? If you feel like getting nasty, then you came to the right place,” said a suggestive-sounding woman.

The international callers had to call the White House to get the correct number. They were told that if they were having trouble dialing in then try the new number. Of course, the conference was underway by the time they got through.

One would expect that the White House would accept responsibility for this mistake and apologize to those inconvenienced by their mistake. But that would be too much to expect. Instead, they blamed FOX News for reporting it.

Asked for comment about this mishap, Deputy White House Press Secretary Bill Burton responded: “A corrected phone number on a press release is probably one of the stupider things FOX News has covered lately.”

One of the ‘stupider’ things to cover? That is so lame!

I guess if no one reports it then it didn’t happen, right?

Another White House spokesman, Thomas Vietor had this response.

When pressed further about the number, Mr Vietor replied: “I haven’t dialled whatever number you’re referencing. Please call such numbers on your free time!”

They can’t even acknowledge that they made a mistake? They can’t apologize? They chastise people who tried to tell them that the number that had been given out was to a phone sex line. Its amateur hour at the White House.

These people are flying by the seats of their pants and still railing against ‘the man’. Someone needs to clue them in that they ARE ‘the man’.
