Ashley Biden is the daughter of Vice-President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden. As she is a public figure due to her father’s position, a ‘friend’ is trying to sale a video of her snorting cocaine. Oh what a rotten world we live in. Read about it below and see photos and a video.
Ashley Biden is the 27-year-old daughter of Joe and Jill Biden and is now caught up in a cocaine video scandal. This is particularly distressful considering her father, former Senator and now Vice-President Joe Biden has been crusader against drugs. In fact, he is the one who coined the term ‘drug czar’ in 1982 while campaigning for the ‘war on drugs’. Whoops!
It seems she was at a house part this month in Delaware when the 43-minute video was taken. The video is of a woman who resembles Biden and who is heard on the tape to be complaining that her coke line isn’t long enough, talking about drugs and discussing her father. At another point, the girl on the film shouts, “Shut the f— up!” She apparently knew she was being filmed.
Now, she has fallen to the nefarious intentions of a ‘friend’ who is trying to hawk the videotape of Ashley Biden snorting cocaine. The seller has a lawyer, Thomas Dunlap, who is the front man for the sale. The New York Post refused to pay for the video.
The fact that the New York Post won’t pay for the video doesn’t mean there isn’t a bidding war going on for it. The shooter initially tried to get $2 million for the video, but brought his price down to $400,000. There are two publications that have offered around $225,000 for the video. Dunlap has said that the person who shot the video has known Ashley for a long time, has more videos of her and a lot more information about her. He has said that the higher the price paid, the more the video shooter will reveal. Nice folks, huh?
Ashley Biden has had a bit of a reputation as a ‘bad girl’. She was arrested in 2002 for disorderly conduct. Of course, the charges were dropped and all she had to do was apologize. Apparently, she yelled at and spit at a police officer that time. She also had quite a reputation during her college years at Tulane.
Ashley Biden is 27-years old. She’s the youngest of Biden’s three children and the only child born of his marriage with Jill Biden. She is a Social Worker who works for the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and their Families.
I’m sure the the left will say that its unfair to mention these sorts of things about the daughter of the vice-president. They will undoubtedly claim the tape isn’t real and that its exaggerated and an attempt to slander the Obama Administration. They’ll try to prove that none of the allegations has any merit. They’ll shake their pink fingers at anyone who writes about it saying its not fair to go after her since she’s not a politician herself!
As you know, they often say politician’s children should be off limits. That is, unless you are the much younger children of Sarah Palin. Then its a free for all.

Fictional White House Garden Tour: Hello ladies and gentlemen and white people: On this end of Michelle’s garden we have some Maui-Wowie, Barak’s favorite, over in this corner we have what Arianna Huffington calls Enlightmentment Buddha Buds, the poppies in the center are called black magic mammas by D.L. funny you portray her character as deeply flawed for arguing with a police officer supposedly and spitting. I have had two female and one male police officers start screaming at me in total hatred when I tried to help one by letting her nicely know where a big accident occured back in traffic and once when I called a station because traffic patrol was refusing to let people home onto their street even though it was clear and there was clearly a racial component to it judging by their hatred. I got to the Captain and told him he can’t have his people talking to j. q. public this way and he agreed even. Then there were two officers that were very nice and trying to be helpful over another matter. So its not all one way of course. Anyways, I was yelled at by two screaming mad women police officers absolutely inappropriately. If an employee did that in any business or store settting and management saw they they would be fired. So why aren’t big blemish marks on these officers jackets? And they were wearing guns to kill human beings and being paid by us to bully around the public? So you say some college girl got into a tiff with one? That is pretty common actually nowdays, especially if you watch the beach patrol tv shows where college kids are getting carried away partying and not everyone is the perfectly behaved little drinker. Its a hard job to interface with the public the way police do and they do take a lot of abuse in general. But It often, not always, takes two to tangle and kids will often challenge authority in some manner, though hopefully in more polite ways. But I wouldn’t make a big judgement on someone’s character because they allegedly had one tiff with one police officer. The two may just not have gotten along. I remember the anger in those couple of police officers and they should have been sent home for the way they were mishandling the public, and if it kept up fired. They are supposed to serve us, and we pay them well actually with good benifits and retirements most of us will never get for all our hard work. If you go into that line of work you are one who likes a certain action and to take a certain risk. The bad part is there is a growing segment of our population that isn’t raised anymore and they get stuck having to police them too and those are dangerous or troublesome people with long lists of provocations. Have any of you ever worked side by side with police on issues and seen for yourself what goes on? Now that they have militarized them against the civilian population, moved to zero tolerance, and increasingly deal with widerspread minorities they have taken away the old bonds of basic trust and its a whole new ball game. They are moving all sorts of ex-military people into routine community and city police work that mixes the violent war on drugs and civilians with routine administrative parking and property matters. The divide between alienated citizens and even routine people is just so great now arguments are going to happen from time to time and really don’t reflect anything necessarily about a citizen’s character as you are trying to label her. Its a hatchet job here and why do you so think people should fall for it? what world do you live in?

Drugs Are Bad…
She’s cute and (allegedly) does drugs - a pretty rockin’ combination sometimes. Although equally often the sign of sheer craziness.
Gotta take the rough with the smooth, I suppose.
Oh, and she’s also The Sheriff’s (Joe Biden)…

This is a completely legitimate public interest story. Drug warriors like Joe have advocated for get tough criminal justice approaches to American drug abuse. When a drug warriors own family members is caught using illegal drugs they should be tarred and feathered just like they advocate for average americans. Maybe if their loved ones had their lives destroyed by the war on drugs, then we could finally see some changes made in this country. Joe’s family and the family of other drug warriors will never feel the pain of the public policies they enact (ie john mccain’s wife) and that is partly why the drug war will never end. I say, send her up the river, see what Joe thinks of his drug policies when they ruin the life of his loved one.

It’s Sunday and I happened to have nothing to do so I read Brian’s complete comment. Yeah, I know. Where’s Micky when you really need him.
I happen to agree with Brian. The cops suck. I think, given all their abuses to the public illuminated in Brian’s comment, they should be done away with. I think the average, legally armed, citizen’s should take it upon themselves to do the policing in their local communities. We could do away with criminals, useless punks, welfare cheats, a$$holes, simpering little whiners who have computers and the criminal justice system altogether.

hondo you simply don’t want to even consider dealing with the issues involved in rude policing. You will be a good police material person once you get out from the military. Just remember this isn’t iraq or afghanistan when you start your shift.
March 29th, 2009 at 10:29 am
You’re right Brian. If I’m on duty and I happen to bust you on a morals charge, don’t worry about a thing.
March 29th, 2009 at 11:44 am
ummm, I am the one moral here. You just wanna be a bully of some kind under the guise of some faux society. WW11 Germany was chock full of em and they all thought they were right.

Ooooh Brian,
You’re such a SAAAAAAAVAGE!

[...] VP Biden’s daughter Ashley caught snorting crack on camera (Does anyone care?) - Beth Shaw (Right Pundits) [...]
March 30th, 2009 at 5:42 am
This is an important story given Biden’s ridiculous Drug War aggressiveness in the past. As Radley Balko writes:
Can’t wait for Biden’s press conference on Monday, where he’ll call for all of the draconian laws he has sponsored over the years to be fully enforced against his kid, including the forfeiture of all of her property, and the use of the videotape as probable cause for a Byrne Grant-funded multi-jurisdictional SWAT team to raid her home in the middle of the night. At that point, Biden will call for the local cops will turn her case over to the feds, who, per Biden’s own favored policies over the years, will then liberally apply RICO and conspiracy statutes to find some way, any way, to rope her in on federal drug-related charges so she can then get hit with the applicable federal mandatory minimum prison sentence.
Yeah, right. He’ll call it a “private family matter”, and nothing whatsoever will happen to Ashley. Like all politicians, Biden is fine with destroying others’ lives with “tough on crime” rhetoric, but feels the situation deserves compassion when his own daughter is involved.
I have no problem with Ashley Biden getting through this without significant disciplinary action. I just wish other drug users were afforded the same treatment.

The thing that it seems everyone has missed here is one simple fact:
Joe Biden’s daughter is not a child. She’s frickin 27 years old!
I don’t care if she’s not a politician, snorting the white stuff is highly illegal - and we should expect better of the family members of our supposed leadership class.
Contrast the absolute absence of coverage in the media of Biden’s adult daughter, with the coverage the Bush daughters received while still teenagers.
There’s that old double standard again….
March 30th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Exactly Scottie - and contrast the lack of coverage of this adult daughter with the downright lies and slander the media perpetrated against Sarah Palins children - including her newborn infant!
March 31st, 2009 at 5:11 am
@Scottie, Beth: Well, what’s really interesting here is that Joe Biden is Mr. tough-on-crime Drug Warrior himself. The man created the ONDCP; without Biden, John Walters never would have even had a position to abuse.
The problem I have with taking it easy on Ashley Biden is not that she deserves to be punished. It’s that politicians in general somehow make a distinction between their children or close friends who use drugs, and the unwashed masses who use drugs. The former merits discretion and privacy, while the latter merits jail time and asset seizure.
If Joe Biden is so tough on drugs, he should apply his reasoning just as easily to his daughter’s case. If he can’t do that, he should take an honest look at his political activities and acknowledge the harm and sorrow that his irrational drug policies cause all around the country every single day.
It’s high time for honesty and pragmatism with our drug problems. I am so sick of this “third rail of politics” and “political suicide” crap.
