There’s big news today since the New York Times published a letter from Jake Desantis, an executive vice president in AIG’s Financial Products Division. The article is titled, Dear AIG, I Quit. It is the resignation letter that Desantis sent to Edward Liddy. Wizbang describes the letter as ‘grace under fire’ and a ‘devastating critique of the mob mentality that consumed Congress last week.’
Gawker has a completely different point of view. He calls Jake Desantis part of the ‘overclass’ and self-righteous. Someone who has no understanding of what the average person deals with in the working world.
The Other McCain says its time for longtime Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter to retire. Find out why.
William Teach is reporting that even the AP is making fun of the teleprompter president! What kind of politician brings a teleprompter to a news conference?
Jammie Wearing Fool says the President has had enough of this whole teleprompter madness and is throwing the main stream media AND his teleprompter under the bus. OH MY!
Fausta piles on with a TOTUS (Teleprompter of the United States) press conference. Will Obama’s teleprompter shame never end? We certainly hope not.
blatherings is writing about the Obama zombies. They are officially known as ‘Obama 2.0′ or ‘Organizing for America’, but they bear a striking resemblance to something that might be called the Brown Shirt Obama Youth.
Over at GM’s Place, there’s discussion on whether or not the perpetual halos in Obama’s photos are getting tarnished. He calls him a ‘messianic megalomaniac’.
The Right Juris is discussing the conviction of David R. Olofson for having a rifle that misfired. What does this conviction mean for the future of our Second Amendment rights?
The Admonition lets us know that the Global War on Terror is officially over. So says Obama, so it shall be done. You know how he likes to rename things and give pretty names to ugly things so we’ll all think they aren’t quite as bad as we would think they were if we didn’t call them something nice. Now the Global War on Terrorism is to be called ‘Overseas Contingency Operation’. What is an ‘Overseas Contingency Operation’? Is that just a prettier name for ‘war’?
Blue Star Chronicles is covering the Condi Rice Jay Leno Interview and has the videos of the entire interview, in case you missed it or just want to see it again. She’s also got some great photos of the former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
The Gateway Pundit is reporting the the Jews and Zionist are using cellular services to spy on the Taliban. At least that’s what the Taliban think. I just can’t wait till Obama tries to negotiate with them. I suspect that will be even less well accepted as his rather pathetic attempt to have a video chat with the Ayatollah Khomeini.
Southern Sass on Crime has an article on the Lovelle Mixon murders 4 police officers in Oakland, California.
The Legal Tech Guy warns of a Conficker Virus schedule to be deployed on April 1 and its no April Fools Joke!
Maggie’s Notebook is reporting that Chicagoans are vandalizing parking meters. It seems the city has doubled the fees on the parking meters and angry Chicagoans are vandalizing them in an act of civil disobedience. You know, that’s one of those extra taxes being tacked onto everything we by or use as part of Obama’s plan to keep telling everyone that he’s not going to raise anyone’s taxes.
Little Miss Atilla is on a rampage about how Congress treated AIG CEO Liddy when he was called before them. Shameful! She’s glad that Desantis had the guts to confront the Congressional scapegoating of the financial sector.
The Jawa Report is offering to trade pocket change with Jake Desantis. He’s a little less than sympathetic to Desantis’ plight.
Six Meat Buffet is sad over the Jake Desantis story and wonders if we’ll have to tell our children that the American Dream is outdated.
