Here is the live video stream of Barack Obama’s news conference on March 24th, 2009. The time of Obama’s press conference is 8pm EST / 5pm PDT, prime-time no less, and it will appear on every channel that matters including Right Pundits. Watch the Obama live feed below, and note that we may even be live-blogging the event for fun.
President Barack Obama’s first 100 days in office have been an unmitigated disaster for most Americans. Fully one-third of our pension plans, retirement accounts, housing values and other nest eggs have disappeared on Obama’s watch. And if we have not lost our job already, most Americans live in fear of unemployment as business recoils in the face of ominous new Great Society programs.
Such is the backdrop for Obama’s press conference on March 24th at 8pm EST. Attempting to right the ship of State is a tall order, but Obama’s advisers are expecting the American people to give him a partial-pass on performance while basking in eloquent rhetorical flourishes during a prime-time news conference. The incredulous press overseas believes this as well.
But not everyone will give Obama that pass for bumbling. Even our liberal friends have many unanswered questions asked in a manner than suggests even they are not taking Obama seriously today.

Yeah his economic policies are a mess and won’t do a bit of good. Still though, I think calling his first 100 days an “unmitigated disaster” is a little unfair. His statements regarding medical marijuana raids signal the first positive shift in federal drug enforcement as long as I have been alive (I am 25).
Can we somehow vote a repub in to keep the books and a dem in to run the streets? Oh wait, that’s a libertarian, so no, we can’t.

A lot of people are getting upset that Obama keeps doing these prime time press conferences and speeches, especially apolitical people. He keeps interfering with American Idol and Dancing with the Stars!
I just hope he has his teleprompter with him this time. His 60 Minutes and Jay Leno interviews were disastrous. He really doesn’t need to try to wing it on his own.

At the beggining of the news conference FOX made it a point to mention that Obama would not be using a teleprompter.
Cool.
At the end of the confrenece its mentioned that replacing the teleprompter was F&*^#NG WIDE SCREEN TV MONITOR INSTEAD.
Did anyone see that thing ? It was bigger than my front door !
It sucked, I learned nothing, nothing I havent already heard a million times

the obama drinking game:
1.) every time he mentions we must do the responsible thing and raise taxes … take a drink
2.) every time he mentions we are facing huge challenges … take a drink
3.) every time he mention funding national healthcare or green technologies to fight global warming as ways to stimulate the economy … take a drink
4.) every time he suggests increasing government power … lose an article of clothing

yoou guys are too negative. I heard the press conference myself and it was pretty good in illuminating more about how obama is approaching governing even if there was a prepick of questioners. I think his willingness to adjust to new information is good, and to have a basic character of perseverance without being blindly dogmatic “stay the course-itudic”. He is a different kind of president and geitner has performed better of late as promised, it just too a little longer than those insanely impatient around us. He has learned the US is a giant ship of state and it will take a lot of pushing and tugging to turn us around. He didn’t sound grandiose. His concept of fairness with charity donaters was interesting. I was amazed that the pundits npr put on ran him down immediately and didn’t seem to get his message or what he was trying to do at all. I think subtley race is still an issue but his critics are carefully walking around that to just attack mercilessly his programs as to imply he is some fool. But he is a harvard law grad, law review mgr, and no fool, even though much of what we are talking about if you’re honest and fair is easily understandable by people of average means, and they, still by a majority approve even when the fatigue factor kicks in. Obama might be a much more fun guy and forgiving guy than bush and cheney and yes, it is a different day. Thank Goodness!

Lisa – I wish I had read that before the live chat!!! What a great idea. We’ll have to do that the next time!

Ok. I will accept that we lay the blame for things seeming to get even worse recently on Obama, even though this is ridiculous since he’s only been President for two months, if YOU will agree to give him the credit if things get drastically better over the next two years. Hell. Make that a year and a half. Is it a deal? I will check back with you then.
Oh, and I forgot, you have to also give Clinton credit for how good times were when he was Pres., too.

I didn’t watch the obama show. I personally can’t stand to even look at him. He’s a disaster for our country.
