Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has gleefully announced a million dollar scholarship program to help Palestinian students attend Palestinian and American Universities. Read more, photos and video below.

While visiting the West Bank, Mrs. Clinton announced the Middle East Partnership Initiative. The four year program will support about 10 underprivileged students from Palestine each year; and will help them to attend Palestinian Universities. The program will also offer 25 “opportunity grants� to disadvantaged students to apply to American accredited schools in the United States.
Mrs. Clinton hopes to begin the program in the 2010-2011 school year; once funds have been approved by congress. I don’t think she’ll have a problem getting that done, do you? Mrs. Clinton just announced $900 million in aid to the Palestinian authority last week. Seems like all of those speeches about being strong allies with Israel were just that, speeches. During her visit to an American-sponsored English-language teaching program in Ramallah, Mrs. Clinton said the opportunity grants would create “a larger pool of capable young men and women from places like the West Bank and Gaza� who can “compete along with students in other countries for the opportunity to further their academic training in America.� The secretary spoke on a youth program aired by Palestinian Authority TV.
There have already been problems in the past with students from Gaza trying to enter Israel to finish an application process having won the Fulbright scholarship. They were then denied entry status into the United States due to security constraints.
Michaela Schweitzer-Bluhm, who is a spokeswoman for the United States consulate in Jerusalem, said that every effort was being made to allow Gazans to participate in programs sponsored by the United States despite security challenges. Why not give the money to American students to study in American Universities, who pose no security “challenges�; I guess that would be politically incorrect.
Mrs. Clinton had been urged by Arab groups to help students in Palestine receive their education in the United States in recent weeks. That, I’m sure, is just a coincidence.

I check in here around lunch. And whenever her picture is here, I lose my appetite. As much as I don’t like Bill, when I see or hear her, I understand why he is the way he is.

You know a friend of mine says Hillary Clinton is an extremely gifted politician. Now she was and awful Senator, she’s sucks as Secretary of State, and she was one of the weakest women politician. Kay Bailey Hutchinson and has 70% approval rating she has a 60% approval rating, Kay Bailey Hutchinson encouraged more drilling for coal in Texas Hillary opposed drilling in NY, and Kay Bailey Hutchinson voted for the surge which worked and Hillary voted against it. So Hillary Clinton sucks now I’m not saying this to be mean, but she sucks Bills balls.

Yah I just want to inform the people who don’t already know, but Palin is out of 2012. She has absolutely no chance in hell of winning. Her daughter Bristol broke up with Levi and that killed her career. Well it was already really bad, but now she’s finished. Granted she’s more respectable than obama. I mean obama has casual Saturdays and Sundays who’s ever heard of that. That is by far one of the stupidest things I have ever heard about in politics. Now personally I’m happy to see Palin go I liked her, but she just wasn’t good enough personally to beat obama in 2012 or beat anyone in any election for president. I’m happy that obama is doing poorly and I’m happy that real politicians like Jindal,Hutchinson,Romney,Huckabee, and Gingrich can shine now that Palin is out of the way. Also speaking of respect I hate Levi I mean McCain is giving a speak he walks by shakes Levi’s hand and what do I see he’s chewing gum. Hah all I have to say is like Donald Trump Palin you fired. No better yet how a bought this you know when Gordon Ramsey says something about the guy he just kicked off and the fire burns there face. Well that just happened to Palin tonight. Well and my parents call me a disappointment well at least I didn’t cost them the title of president.

Unemployment in the West Bank tops 70%. Most Palestinean youths stand a better chance of being struck by lightning than of being able to support a family. These are the conditions that breed terror as a tactic. How do we combat such misery and desperation? Education.
You folks on the R*ich have no clue do you? FDR SAVED capitalism from itself. Raygun and the Bushes took us back to the 1920s. Now Obama will have to save capitalism again so that the next tax-cut-and-spend Repugnican can screw it up again.

well why are palestinian families so big, like 8-9-10 children a family is typical apparently, yet they aren’t set up to support that many. I am not set up here to support those many either so I don’t have them. Where is their ecological prowess??

Palestinians have no one to blame but themselves for that. Ironically its about the same number, 70%, that elected Hamas into power whom have done nothing with the revenues but to build more weaponry and do very little for the economic or social infratsructure.
Trade opportunities have been available in parts of Israel and Jerusalem but due to their insistance on breaking cease fires, performing suicide bombings they pretty have screwed themselves out of that opportunity.

The only thing that saved us in the 30s was the war and not any government implemented program. FDRs welfare and unemployment benefits only prolonged the depression by giving people a reason not to work and plunged the country into further stagnation

The man is obviously anti-capitalistic, doing everything he can to destroy the free market as we know it, and is doing his best to install a socialistic economy.
Traditionally democrats have always opted for ” economic justice” and been against more forms of capitalism than conservatives.
